Is the Pulsar RS125 a Real 'Race Sport' bike or just marketing hype?
More marketing than actual race performance. The RS125 is a commuter bike dressed up to look sporty. There is no way it can hang with real race oriented 125s on a track.
Real talk, no 125cc bike is truly “Race Sport”. However, for the class, the RS125 does provide a sporty experience. Compared to other 125s, it’s pretty racy... it’s all relative.
The RS designation is a joke. Bajaj is just cashing in on the young riders who want to look fast. Better brakes and suspension would be on a real race bike.
I consider it to be a good balance. With its gear ratios, it's enough sporty to keep it dynamic and fun on the twisty roads, but comfortable for daily drives. Not every sport bike needs to be a track monster.
I can say as an owner of an RS125 that it feels plenty sporty to me. It feels like a proper little sport bike with the tucked riding position and responsive handling. It's all about expectations.
Truly Race Sport, is not what this bike is. It’s not a bad thing having to prioritize the most important bands for next week. Newer riders get a taste of sport bike aesthetics and handling without being too extreme.
