As a 5'9" rider, it feels just right. I think Bajaj designed it with the average Indian height in mind.

Taller riders can manage, but you might want to invest in some aftermarket parts like raised handlebars for better comfort.
Does the NS160 live up to Bajaj's "Fastest Indian" legacy?
30 January 2025 09:53
It's quick for a 160cc, but calling it the "Fastest Indian" is a stretch. It's more like "The Slightly Quicker Than Average Indian."
Does the NS160 live up to Bajaj's "Fastest Indian" legacy?

For its segment, it's pretty fast. You can't expect 220cc performance from a 160cc engine, but it holds its own against competitors.
Does the NS160 live up to Bajaj's "Fastest Indian" legacy?

The NS160 is more about handling than straight-line speed. It might not be the fastest, but it's definitely one of the most fun to ride in its class.

Bajaj's marketing is overselling it. It's a good bike, but it doesn't live up to the hype of being exceptionally fast.
Does the NS160 live up to Bajaj's "Fastest Indian" legacy?

In city traffic, it feels plenty fast. But on open roads, you start wishing for more power. It's fast-ish, not fastest.

The "Fastest Indian" legacy is more about the spirit than actual speed. In that sense, the NS160 delivers with its sporty feel and quick response.

Let's be real, no 160cc bike is going to be the "Fastest Indian." But for what it is, the NS160 is pretty nippy.
Is the Pulsar NS160 really worth the hype?
30 January 2025 09:53
Absolutely worth it! The NS160 handles like a dream compared to other 160cc bikes. That perimeter frame makes a real difference in cornering.
Is the Pulsar NS160 really worth the hype?
30 January 2025 09:53
Overhyped, if you ask me. Sure, it looks cool, but performance-wise, it's not that different from the Apache RTR 160 4V, which is cheaper.
Is the Pulsar NS160 really worth the hype?

It's a mixed bag. Great for city riding, but on highways, it feels a bit underpowered. I wish Bajaj had given it a bit more oomph.

The hype is justified if you're into sporty looks and handling. But for pure commuting, there are cheaper options that do the job just as well.
Is the Pulsar NS160 really worth the hype?

I'd say it's worth it for the build quality alone. This thing feels solid compared to some of the flimsier 160cc bikes out there.

The NS160 is more of a lifestyle choice than a practical one. If you want to stand out and don't mind paying extra for it, go for it.

It's overhyped in terms of performance, but underhyped in terms of comfort. Long rides on this are surprisingly pleasant.
Does the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 live up to the hype?

It’s been a blast and I’ve had my NS160 over a year now. In city traffic it's super nimble and it has enough punch for highway rides too. Yes, it’s a little bit more expensive than other 160cc bikes, but I think the whole package is worth it. It turns heads wherever I go with the sporty looks.
Does the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 live up to the hype?

I test rode the NS160 and wasn’t impressed meh. At higher revs the engine felt vibey, and the saddle became uncomfortable for long rides. At this price I would prefer to buy TVS Apache RTR 160 4V since it has better refinement and features.
Does the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 live up to the hype?

Having been a mechanic I have worked on a lot of NS160s. Decent bikes, but I've seen some QC issues. Over time the plastics rattle, and some electrical niggles pop up. If you are getting one, you had better follow the service schedule that religiously.
Does the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 live up to the hype?
30 January 2025 09:44
I believe the NS160 finds a nice middle ground between performance and practicality. The unit is not the fastest in its class, but is versatile enough for use on weekday commutes and weekend rides. It also gets great stability in corners thanks to its perimeter frame. Only wish Bajaj improves their after sales service.
