In heavy traffic it’s like a fish in water. Light enough to be easy to maneuver and slim enough to squeeze through gaps.

After a while you get used to the clutch. There's definitely a learning curve for smooth operation in traffic, though.

In traffic though, I actually prefer it to scooters. They have gears so that you have more control and are more stable at low speeds.

The engine heat in standstill traffic is unbearable, but it's okay. After 15 minutes your legs will be cooking.

Surprisingly enough it does handle traffic well for a budget bike. Keep it in good tune and you won't have any problems.

In traffic, not having electric start is a pain. Getting kick started every few minutes is a real pain in the ass.

Not all simple is better. It’s easy to work on, sure, but you’ll be working on it a lot more often than a modern bike.

I find it harder, actually. Diagnosing modern bikes is easier. It's often guesswork with the CT 100.

It is great for learning bike mechanics. With basic tools you can pretty much rebuild the entire thing.

The problem is where to find quality replacement parts. But if you're constantly replacing cheap components, the simplicity doesn't matter.

Reliable? Maybe 10 years ago. My 2022 model has had nothing but issues since day one. Constant starting problems.

It's all about maintenance. If you treat it right it'll last forever. You'll have problems with any bike if you neglect it.

It's the price, you can't beat it. It's not perfect, but I'll show you another bike that's this cheap and runs this long.

People confuse reliable with simple to fix, I think. It does break down, but parts are cheap and easy to replace.
