In extreme Indian summer heat, how does the Amo Mobility Feisty EV fare?

I’ve ridden my Feisty EV through two brutal Delhi summers now and it’s held up better than I expected. On really hot days range drops a bit, about 10-15%, but nothing dramatic. I try to park in the shade when possible, and the battery seems to take the heat well.

Being from Rajasthan, I can tell you the Feisty EV struggles in such extreme heat. At 45°C, the range can drop by as much as 30%. I've also seen the motor seem to lose some power during the hottest parts of the day.

The Feisty EV does okay in the heat, I think, but it’s not without issues. Left in direct sunlight, the seat can get scorching hot, and I've had the battery overheat warning come on a couple of times on long rides in peak summer. Overall though it’s still more reliable than my old petrol scooter that would vapor lock in extreme heat.

The Feisty EV is a surprising performer in Chennai's heat and humidity, in my experience. It also seems to be protected from moisture by the sealed battery compartment. I have not had any major performance issues, but I find myself having to charge it more often in the summer months.

In Ahmedabad’s scorching summers, I’ve been using the Feisty EV, and it’s a mixed bag. The range definitely takes a hit, but the scooter itself runs fine. I've also noticed that charging time increases a little bit in very hot weather. The plus side is no overheating or shutdowns so far.

As an EV enthusiast, I think the Feisty EV’s performance in extreme heat is pretty average. This isn’t like some premium e scooters which come equipped with an advanced thermal management system, so you can see some impact on range and power. However, for its price point, it's okay. Don't expect miracles in 45°C weather.

Last year I switched from a petrol scooter to the Feisty EV and I actually prefer it in hot weather. Fuel evaporation and engine overheating worries are over. The great instant torque is good for quick getaways from traffic lights on sweltering days. Just keep the battery charged as it does drain faster in heat.

I live in Nagpur, which is infamous for very hot and very cold temperatures and the Feisty EV is decent, but not great in summer. The main issue I’ve had is reduced battery life over time – after a year I’m seeing about 20% less range than when it was new, and it really is noticeable in the heat.

I don't think the Feisty EV's heat performance is being judged harsh enough. Yes, there is some range reduction, but that is true of all EVs. It's good, because it starts reliably every time – unlike my neighbour's petrol scooter, which sometimes has problems starting in the heat. And riding gives you a bit of a breeze to help you cool off!

I’ve ridden a few e scooters and I’d put the Feisty EV in the middle of the pack in terms of heat performance. A bummer is that it doesn’t have active cooling for the battery. The motor appears to be robust enough to tolerate high temperatures. My tip: Therefore, try to charge it during cooler hours to get maximum battery life and performance.
What is the Amo Mobility Feisty EV like to drive in monsoon conditions?

I've driven my Feisty EV through two monsoon season and it’s held up pretty well. Tubeless tires give decent grip on wet roads, but still care must be taken on really slippery surfaces. It seems to do the job of the IP67 rating – I haven’t had any electrical component issues with water damage.

I commute every day on a Feisty EV and it’s okay on light rain but I wouldn’t trust it in heavy downpours. Low ground clearance can be a problem in waterlogged streets and I've had a few scary moments when water has splashed up onto the battery compartment.

I believe the Feisty EV fares better than most budget electric scooters in monsoon conditions. I’m happy with the sealed battery compartment, and the disc brake in front gives good stopping power in the wet. But I wish it had better mudguards to stop water from splashing my feet.
What is the Amo Mobility Feisty EV like to drive in monsoon conditions?

For what it’s worth, in my experience, the Feisty EV is, in fact, quite good in the rain. It's stable because of the low center of gravity, and because it's electric, you don't have to worry about water getting in the engine like on petrol scooters. But wipe it down after rides to stop the rust on the metal parts.

My Feisty EV has had mixed results with monsoons. I have not yet had it conk out on me, but the range is terrible in heavy rain. The headlight can also be brighter for better visibility in gloomy weather.

Being a previous petrol scooter user, I find the Feisty EV to be more reliable in wet conditions. You won't have to worry about water in the fuel or a wet spark plug. The plastic body panels, however, don't seem to be very durable if you fall and slip.
What is the Amo Mobility Feisty EV like to drive in monsoon conditions?

I'm not sure people are being too optimistic about the Feisty EV's monsoon performance. Sure, it won’t die instantly in the rain, but being exposed to moisture for long periods of time will lead to problems later on. For all weather use I’d rather stick to a tried and tested petrol scooter.

I’ve found the Feisty EV to be surprisingly good for the rainy season. The side stand sensor will prevent accidental starts on slippery surfaces, and the speed control switch is handy for adjusting to wet conditions. You just want to be extra careful when charging after a wet ride.
What is the Amo Mobility Feisty EV like to drive in monsoon conditions?

In monsoon conditions, I've found that the Feisty EV is adequate, not great. The tires need more grip, and these brakes feel quite spongy in the wet. It's also on the plus side that the digital display doesn't become obscured by heavy rain like it does on some other scooters I've ridden.
What is the Amo Mobility Feisty EV like to drive in monsoon conditions?

I’ve ridden both electric and petrol scooters in the rain and, from someone who has, the Feisty EV doesn’t do too badly. In fact, the instant torque of the electric motor actually helps in tricky situations. But I don't like not having the option to manually pump fuel for emergencies like you can't do with a sealed battery.
