I'm actually impressed. Consistently getting around 100 km in Bangalore traffic. Perhaps the stop and go nature assists with regenerative braking?

It's hit or miss. I sometimes get 100+ km on some days, and sometimes 70+ km on others, it seems very sensitive to riding conditions.

The range anxiety is real. It’s always the battery meter that I find myself constantly watching and I rarely push it beyond 70-80 km just to be safe.

Surprisingly good! It soaks up small bumps well and has enough ground clearance to deal with most of the things I have come across.

It's okay, but not great. Bigger potholes feel a bit too soft on the front, I’ve bottomed out a couple of times on speed breakers.

It is better than my old Honda Activa to handle. It seems that the lower center of gravity helps with stability on rough patches.

It's a mixed bag. It's good on moderately bad roads, but really stuggles with the deeper potholes. Already once I've had to replace the front shock.

That’s for sure, it’s not built for off roading. If you stick to decent roads you’ll be fine, but if your daily route is like a war zone, this is not the best choice.

I am surprised at how it rides water logged roads during monsoons. So far no problems with the electrics which I’ve heard some horror stories about other EVs.

It's all about technique. With a little practice in reading the road and choosing your line, the YB2000 can get you through most urban obstacles just fine.
Is the Aeroride YB2000 worth its premium price?
17 January 2025 07:28
Absolutely worth it! They build quality and performance are on par with scooters that cost hundreds, if not thousands, more. The premium features are available at a relatively reasonable price.
Is the Aeroride YB2000 worth its premium price?
17 January 2025 07:28
No way. For that price, you could have a TVS iQube or Ather 450X with a better brand reputation and service network. The only reason to pay a premium for Aeroride is that it is still too new.

If you appreciate the unique styling, I think it’s worth it. It absolutely stands out from the crowd of cookie cutter electric scooters.
Is the Aeroride YB2000 worth its premium price?

It’s expensive, but you have to consider the long term savings on fuel and maintenance. In the long run, it could actually work out cheaper than a petrol scooter.

I would say wait for more real world reviews. In Indian traffic conditions the claimed range doesn’t match actual performance.
