Latest Updates
Monday, 04 December 2023 02:31 PM
Skoda has confirmed that the 2024 Enyaq will be released in Australia in July, following delays due to its success in Europe. The new model will feature more powerful drivetrains, faster charging, and an increased range. The Enyaq RS, in particular, will boast a 250 kW output, making it Skoda’s most powerful production car ever. I think this delayed release will be worth the wait, given the significant upgrades.

For the 2024 model year, Skoda is introducing the new Laurin & Klement (L&K) trim line for the Enyaq, which comes with lavish standard equipment including LED Matrix beam headlights, 20 or 21 alloy wheels, and sophisticated interior features like electrically controlled, heated, and ventilated front seats. This trim line is set to enhance the luxury appeal of the Enyaq. I believe this new trim will attract buyers looking for a premium electric SUV experience.

The 2024 Skoda Enyaq models will feature new, more efficient drivetrains, including the 85 and 85x variants, which replace the previous 80 and 80x versions. These new models offer increased power outputs of 210 kW and 210 kW for the 85 and 85x respectively, and the Enyaq RS now delivers 250 kW. This boost in power is complemented by improved battery management and faster charging times.
Monday, 04 December 2023 03:07 PM
Skoda has optimized the battery management system of the 2024 Enyaq, which includes a new pre-conditioning feature that reduces charging times to under 30 minutes. This feature preheats the battery in low ambient temperatures, optimizing charging speed by up to 22 percent. This is a significant improvement for users who need quick and efficient charging.

The 2024 Skoda Enyaq will come with new vehicle software that includes a more intuitive user interface, allowing drivers to define shortcuts for frequently used settings and apps. The navigation system has also been updated with new map graphics and a larger map area. Additionally, a Walkaway function for the KESSY keyless entry system has been introduced.

In Australia, the 2024 Skoda Enyaq will be available in two main grades: the Sportline and the RS. The Sportline features a single electric motor delivering 210 kW, while the RS has a dual-motor all-wheel drive setup with a total power output of 250 kW. Both grades come with a 77 kWh usable battery, offering ranges of up to 561 km and 530 km respectively.

Skoda Australia has confirmed that the Enyaq will be part of its biggest new car roll-out yet, with several other models also set to launch. The company is focusing on offering compelling finance options, including a guarantee on resale value for those who take in-house loans. This move aims to address concerns about electric vehicle residuals.

The 2024 Skoda Enyaq is built on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform and features a maximum DC charging capacity of 175 kW and a maximum AC capacity of 11 kW. The vehicle also boasts an efficient energy consumption rate of 15.86 kWh/100 km. I think this efficiency will be a key selling point for environmentally conscious buyers.
Monday, 10 July 2023 07:39 PM
Skoda has announced that the Enyaq will be covered by a seven-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty, with an eight-year/160,000 km warranty for the battery. Service intervals are set at every 24 months or every 30,000 kilometres, with pre-paid service packs available for better value.
Thursday, 15 June 2023 02:24 PM
The 2024 Skoda Enyaq is expected to compete directly with other popular electric SUVs like the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, and Tesla Model Y. With its updated features and improved performance, it is poised to be a strong contender in the electric vehicle market. I believe the Enyaqs unique design and Skodas reputation will give it an edge.

Discussions and Questions Skoda Enyaq
Should buyers wait for the Enyaq, or are there alternatives worth considering?
06 January 2025 10:23
In fact, it actually worked in my favor, the long wait. When I got my Enyaq, it had the latest software updates and a couple of minor improvements by the time. Waiting isn’t always a bad thing if you don’t have somewhere to be.
How do you rate on build quality and reliability compared in the Enyaq to other Skoda models?
06 January 2025 10:23
The Enyaq feels as well built as you’d come to expect from a VW. Skoda has done a great job of transitioning to EVs without losing quality, I think. It is most certainly up there with the more expensive brands.
Is the practicality of the Enyaq worth that extra cost compared to ICE Skoda?
06 January 2025 10:23
The price definitely justifies the practicality of the Enyaq for me. It’s so much more usable than my old Kodiaq thanks to the huge boot, flat floor and clever storage solutions. I'm also saving a ton on fuel costs.
Is Skoda Enyaq's software bad as people claim?
06 January 2025 10:23
The software is terrible, yeah. I’ve been with my Enyaq for a year now and it’s been nothing but frustration with a laggy interface, random glitches, etc. It's also ridiculous that you have to click 'OK' every time you start the car.
What is the Enyaq’s real world range compared to official figures?
06 January 2025 10:23
For daily driving the range is fine, but it’s the inconsistency that bugs me. I’ll get great range sometimes and other times it will drop much faster than you’d expect. It tends to make planning longer trips a bit stressful.
