The Skoda Elroq features a new design language called the Tech Deck Face, which includes a two-tier layout with daytime running lights on top and separate headlights lower on the fascia. This design helps achieve a low drag coefficient of 0.26, making it slightly more aerodynamic than the VW ID.3. The new look is part of Skodas Modern Solid design philosophy.

The Skoda Elroq comes in three variants: the Elroq 50, Elroq 60, and Elroq 85, each with different battery capacities and power outputs. The base Elroq 50 has a 55kWh battery and a 168hp motor, while the top Elroq 85 features an 82kWh battery and a 282hp motor. Charging speeds range from 145kW to 175kW depending on the battery.

We shouldn't underestimate VW Group's resources. Should they be able to leverage their partnerships and scale up, the Elroq could have access to a strong charging network pretty quickly. It’s not simply about the car, it’s the ecosystem.

The Elroq’s pricing certainly has me at least tempted to consider it as part of the market for an EV. I’m more interested in how it stacks up feature for feature against pricier options like the VW ID.4. It could be a winner if it can match the tech and comfort, for a lower price.
