Skoda Citigo Petrol

About
The Skoda Citigo is a compact city car that stands out for its spacious interior, comfortable ride, and economical running costs. The car features a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder MPI petrol engine available in 60 BHP and 75 BHP variants. The interior is roomy, with ample space for four adults and a boot space of 251 litres that expands to 951 litres with the rear seats folded. The dashboard is simple yet clever, with good quality plastics and essential cubby holes. The Citigo handles well, with a smooth suspension and precise steering that makes it easy to maneuver in city traffic. It also has a good turning radius and comfortable seating, making it an excellent choice for urban driving. However, the engine can be loud at high speeds, and there is some body roll, but these are minor drawbacks in an otherwise solid city car.

USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Skoda Citigo petrol is a compelling option for those seeking a compact, economical, and well-built city car. Despite its small engine, the Citigo offers impressive ride and handling, making it feel more like a full-grown hatchback than a tiny city car. The 1.0-litre MPI petrol engine, available in 60 BHP and 75 BHP options, is adequate for city driving but can struggle at higher speeds, especially with a full load and the air conditioner on. The interior is spacious and comfortable for four adults, with good under-thigh support, although the fifth passenger will find it cramped due to the gear hump. The Citigos build quality is typical of European standards, with a solid thud when closing the doors. However, for the Indian market, Skoda would need to localize production to keep prices competitive and make some tweaks to the engine and suspension to better handle Indian road conditions.
Price
The Skoda Citigo has not been officially launched in India, so there is no current pricing available. However, if Skoda were to introduce this model with high localization to control costs, we could expect the ex-showroom price to be competitive with other compact hatchbacks in the market. For instance, if priced similarly to its competitors like the Maruti Suzuki Alto or Tata Tiago, the ex-showroom price could range between 3.5 lakh to 5.5 lakh. On-road prices would likely be around 4.5 lakh to 6.5 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. This pricing would make the Citigo an attractive option for budget-conscious buyers looking for a reliable and feature-packed compact car.

Most of the companies has produced the petrol cars as well diesel, but the diesel car rate is so much of high , why you will not make this kind of diesel car with 5 lacs amount of the onroad price. Reason: I)IF the budget is 5lacs can able to buy all the middle class people and it can cover most of the developing country. But the developed country having all the type of car ,so there u can release some high price cars so that productivity will compensate all the way. Thanks I am one of the software engineer in MNC company
