Nissan X-Trail Limited Edition

The Nissan X-Trail, in its current iteration for the Indian market, is a mixed bag. On the positive side, it offers a handsome design with sharp lines and an upright stance, making it a visually appealing SUV. The cabin is functional and spacious, especially in the second row, where passengers will appreciate the ample legroom, knee room, and headroom, along with features like a panoramic sunroof and dedicated aircon vents. The ride quality is superb, and the 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, aided by mild-hybrid tech, provides smooth and refined performance. However, the X-Trail falls short in several areas, notably the lack of premium features such as leather upholstery, ventilated seats, power-adjustable front seats, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The third-row seats are cramped, and the absence of all-wheel drive might deter some buyers. Despite these omissions, the X-Trail is a solid addition to Nissans lineup in India, offering a comfortable and capable driving experience, but it needs to step up in terms of features to compete effectively with its rivals.
