It has been four years since Japanese automobile major Nissan decided to lift the covers off its much-hyped sports car 370z and launched it in the US market. The response to the car was overwhelming and it took three years for Nissan to bring 370z to the Indian automobile market which at the present day is said to be one of the most thriving automobile markets in the world. There are basically two variants of Nissan 370z that are presently running in India one of which has automatic transmission whereas the other one has manual transmission. Nissan 370z is a highly revered sports car and is usually referred to as the sidekick of Skyline GTR series which the company will be launching soon in India. 370z was given a grand opening in India and Nissan enthusiasts were in awe of the looks as well as performance that 370z promised.

Exterior

The outer appearance of Nissan 370z gives a perfect rendition of a muscular and dominant sports car having powerful engine breathing beneath its hood. The exterior design of 370z maintains uniqueness amongst other cars of its class owing to the boomerang headlights. The front grille has been made to give an aggressive appeal and the Bi-Xenon lights come equipped with projector beam lens which gives a bright luminance thereby increasing visibility even in dense fog. The door mirrors have been specifically power-heated and painted accordingly in order to make sure that there is no entry path for Ultraviolet rays in the interior of the car. The front as well as the rear bumpers bears pearl paint. The orientation of the door handles is upwards in sync with the wheels.

Interior

The interiors of Nissan 370z bear a superfluity of agreeable features which give a very warming appeal. Three layers namely operation layer, information layer and holding layer have been used in order to design the dashboard of 370z. Information layer basically focuses on the easy access as well as visibility of the dashboard. Next, the operation layer comprises of the switch gear, shifter and steering wheel. Comfort and Convenience

Nissan has left no stones unturned in providing the best level of comfort for owners of 370z. The seat covers bear the same colour as that of the skin. The paddle shifters are magnesium coloured whereas the ALA shifter is silver coloured. There are a wide variety of features oriented towards comfort such as cruise control, adjustable steering, map lamp, power windows, advanced audio system, visors, automatic climate control AC, audio controls mounted on steering wheel, compartment central console, power steering, cup holders, rear defroster with timer, remote opening, windshield washer, insurance central locking, front power windows, smart key, electric seats for both passenger as well as the driver, etc. Nissan 370z has a seating capacity of two people and there is ample storage space behind the seats.

Music System

Nissan 370z is equipped with a high-end audio system that comes with two sub-woofers. A total of 6 speakers have been fitted strategically all around the cabin in order to ensure superior surround sound. Additionally, for ease of the driver, audio controls have been mounted on the steering wheel as well. 370z comes with dual climate control air conditioning system which ensures that the temperature in the cabin remains balanced according to the comfort level of the passengers individually. The air conditioning system additionally comes with heating options as well.

Engine and Gearbox

Nissan 370z basically comes in two variants with both of them having a 3.7L, DOHC 3696cc V6 petrol engine that is capable of giving out a maximum power of 332 bhp at 7000 rpm along with a peak torque of 366 Nm at 5200 rpm. This engine has been made available with six-speed manual transmission as well as seven-speed automatic transmission which in turn come with a paddle shift. This powerful engine gives Nissan 370r a superior rate of acceleration as it can easily go from 0-100 Km/hr in 6.8 seconds with a top speed of 257 Km/hr. The engine basically operates according to Continuous Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVVTCS) along with Variable Valve Event & Lift (VVEL) Technology.

Safety Features

There are a wide range of safety features which are included in Nissan 370z in order to safeguard the driver and the passengers. Some of these features are side curtain airbags, dual front airbags, ventilated disc brakes for both front and rear, anti-theft alarm, front seatbelts, electronic brake distribution, anti-lock brake system, vehicle dynamic control, active head restraints, engine immobilizer, rear and front crumple zones with zone body construction and Nissan Vehicle Immobilizer system. The suspension has been focused upon in order to make sure that the car treads comfortably on rough terrains and the 19-inch wheels are highly durable.

Mileage

As we know that Nissan 370z is basically available in two variants one of which runs on manual transmission whereas the other one has automatic transmission. The variant with manual transmission gives a mileage of 8 Km/L on city roads which goes up to 11 Km/L for highways. On the contrary, the variant with automatic transmission gives a mileage of 7 Km/L on city roads and 10 Km/L for highways.
