Maruti Eeco Piknik

About
The Maruti Eeco Piknik is a multi-purpose vehicle designed to cater to the needs of families and commercial users alike. It boasts ample space, with the option of a 5-seater or 7-seater configuration, making it ideal for large families or for transporting goods. The vehicle features a 792cc twin-cylinder diesel engine or a petrol variant, both of which provide sufficient power for various driving conditions. It has a good ground clearance, which enhances its ride quality, especially on Indian roads. The Eeco Piknik also complies with the latest safety norms, including ABS, EBD, and a driver-side airbag. While it may lack in modern features, its practicality, durability, and affordability make it a popular choice in the Indian market. The interior, though basic, is functional with a dual-tone dashboard and manual windows, but it lacks storage and entertainment options. Nonetheless, its effectiveness in cooling the cabin and its overall reliability make it a solid option for those seeking a no-frills, practical vehicle.

USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Maruti Eeco Piknik is a practical and affordable option for those seeking a versatile MPV in India. While it excels in terms of space and practicality, it falls short in the features department. The vehicle offers a comfortable driving position and good visibility, thanks to its elevated seating. However, the lack of basic features such as storage options, cup holders, and a music system might be a disappointment for some users. Despite this, its robust build quality, good ground clearance, and effective air conditioning make it a reliable choice for family use or commercial purposes. Overall, it is a no-frills, budget-friendly vehicle that prioritizes functionality over luxury.
Price
The Maruti Eeco Piknik is priced competitively in the Indian market, starting from around Rs. 5.10 lakhs for the base Tour V 5-Seater variant. When it comes to the ex-showroom price, you can expect to pay between Rs. 5.10 lakhs to Rs. 6.40 lakhs depending on the variant and features. On-road prices, however, will vary based on the state and local taxes, typically adding another Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 70,000 to the ex-showroom price. This makes the Eeco Piknik an attractive option for those on a budget, offering good value for money given its practicality and space.
Latest Updates
Wednesday, 20 November 2024 05:52 PM There has been no recent update or launch of the Maruti Eeco Piknik, indicating that it may have been a one-time offering. The focus has shifted to updating the standard Maruti Eeco models to comply with new safety and emission norms. It seems the Piknik was a unique offering that didnt get a follow-up.
Thursday, 21 August 2014 01:28 AM The Eeco Piknik was introduced as a limited edition variant of the Maruti Eeco, featuring additional amenities and a slightly higher price point. This variant was aimed at enhancing the overall user experience with added features. I believe this limited edition added a nice touch to the standard Eeco model.
Wednesday, 05 February 2014 03:42 PM Maruti Suzuki showcased the Eeco Piknik at the 2014 Auto Expo, targeting families who want a versatile vehicle for travel. The Eeco Piknik is designed to offer more comfort and amenities, making it ideal for family outings. I think this move by Maruti Suzuki was a great step in catering to the family segment.

Worth for Money Car - Best for Mediocres

It's a big car at small amount. I bought my Maruti Omni in 2013 as I need a car that accommodate my whole family of 8 members(6 adults and 2 children). Though there are SUV's in the market for that purpose but my budget didn't allow me to buy one. Now, I am happy that my whole family fits happily in my Omni. In the terms of look though, it is simple but its a good deal in many other way. It comes with normal steering wheel but believe me it is too light to use. It provide good ride on the rough roads but on high speeds it loose balance sometimes. It has a good ground clearance and I am in love with such vehicles because it provides good ride quality. It returns me mileage of 13kmpl on city roads and 11kmpl on rough roads. On the other hand, safety is a question and gear shift quality requires improvement.

Best Features: Affordable Price

Pros: Price, Tall Seating position, Cabin,

Cons: No Power steering, Lack of rear AC vents.
