The Mahindra Scorpio-N Diesel Z8 Select is a compelling option for those seeking a balance between features, performance, and affordability. This variant stands out for its robust 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engine, which delivers 172.45 bhp of power and 370 Nm of torque, making it a powerhouse for both city driving and off-road adventures. The Z8 Select trim is meticulously crafted with premium features such as a sunroof, 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, LED projector headlamps, and a rich coffee-black leatherette interior. While it misses out on some features like automatic headlights and wipers, and power folding mirrors compared to the top-spec Z8, it still offers a comprehensive safety suite including six airbags, electronic stability control, and hill descent control. Overall, the Scorpio-N Z8 Select is a practical choice that combines value, comfort, and performance, making it an attractive option for SUV enthusiasts.
Price
The Mahindra Scorpio-N Diesel Z8 Select is priced competitively in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price for this variant starts at around Rs 18.19 lakh in New Delhi. When considering on-road prices, which include additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other taxes, the total can range from Rs 21 lakh to Rs 23 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. This pricing strategy makes the Z8 Select a more budget-friendly option compared to the top-spec Z8, which starts at Rs 18.84 lakh and goes up to Rs 21.36 lakh. The price difference of at least Rs 1.7 lakh between the Z8 Select and the Z8 makes it an appealing choice for buyers who want a feature-rich SUV without breaking the bank.

The Mahindra Scorpio-N Z8 Select variant lacks certain features present in the standard Z8, such as all-wheel drive, and is only available in rear-wheel drive (RWD) form. However, it does come with an all-new color scheme. I think this makes the Z8 Select a good option for those who prioritize style and do not need the advanced drivetrain features.

The Mahindra Scorpio-N has recently crossed the 1 lakh production milestone, achieving this in less than 2 years since its launch. This milestone underscores the vehicles popularity and Mahindras manufacturing efficiency. I believe this is a significant achievement and reflects the strong market demand for the Scorpio-N.
