Thursday, 25 September 2014 05:22 AM The 2014 Hyundai Verna was known for its long-term reliability, with many owners reporting low maintenance costs and few mechanical issues over time. This reliability factor was a major selling point for the car. I believe that the Vernas durability helped in sustaining its resale value.
Wednesday, 20 August 2014 04:45 PM Hyundais after-sales service and maintenance support for the 2014 Verna were praised by many owners. The widespread service network and reasonable maintenance costs were significant advantages. I think this aspect was crucial in building customer loyalty.
Thursday, 10 July 2014 02:10 AM The 2014 Hyundai Verna was often compared to its main competitors, such as the Honda City and the Volkswagen Vento. While it held its own in terms of features and performance, it sometimes lagged behind in terms of fuel efficiency and advanced safety features. I believe that this competition pushed Hyundai to continuously improve the Verna.
Sunday, 15 June 2014 08:51 AM The 2014 Hyundai Verna performed well in terms of sales, maintaining its position as one of the top-selling mid-size sedans in India. Hyundais marketing strategies and the cars overall package contributed to its strong sales figures. I think the Vernas sales success was a testament to Hyundais understanding of the Indian market.
Sunday, 25 May 2014 07:43 PM Customer feedback on the 2014 Hyundai Verna was generally positive, with many praising its comfortable ride, spacious interior, and reliable engine performance. However, some users noted that the car could have benefited from more advanced safety features and better fuel efficiency in the automatic transmission variants. I believe that addressing these concerns would have further enhanced the Vernas appeal.
Sunday, 20 April 2014 01:27 PM While the 2014 Hyundai Verna did not have the advanced safety features seen in later models, it still offered basic safety features such as dual airbags and ABS in the higher variants. However, the absence of more comprehensive safety features was a notable drawback. I think this was an area where Hyundai could have done better to set a higher safety standard.
Monday, 10 March 2014 02:11 AM The 2014 Hyundai Verna was priced competitively, with the base model starting at around Rs. 7.5 lakh and the top-end variant priced at approximately Rs. 11 lakh. Saturday, 15 February 2014 07:29 PM The 2014 Hyundai Verna was well-received in the Indian market, thanks to its reliable performance and updated styling. It continued to be a strong contender in the mid-size sedan segment, competing with models like the Honda City. The cars popularity was sustained by its robust build quality and comfortable ride. I think the Vernas reputation for reliability played a significant role in its market success.
Monday, 27 January 2014 01:54 AM The 2014 Hyundai Verna received minor styling updates, but there were no changes to the engine or transmission. This update was part of Hyundais effort to keep the Verna competitive in the Indian market. The changes were cosmetic, aiming to refresh the cars appearance without altering its performance. I think these minor updates helped in maintaining the Vernas appeal without disrupting its established customer base.
Monday, 27 January 2014 07:00 PM The 2014 Hyundai Verna came with a range of features, including various transmission options such as a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic for the petrol version, and a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic for the diesel version. The car also boasted a fuel efficiency of up to 17.7 kmpl for the petrol manual and 24.8 kmpl for the diesel manual. 17 Feb, 2015 07:06 AM

Expert Review by Maxabout

The New Hyundai Verna is a perfect definition of style, luxury and power. Known for following a fluidic sculpture, the car redefines the harmonious blend of beautiful interior and sporty exterior. With the Verna, you seem to be riding on a natural rhythm of life that blends well with its adorable style and luxury and sporty look. The new Verna will definitely attract your attention by just its mere presence. Hyundai, the car manufacturer of the Verna is a South Korean company that firstly introduced the Verna in 2006. The company created the Hyundai Verna to compete with other vehicles of the C+ segment like the Fiat Linea, the Maruti Suzuki Sx4 and the Volkswagen Vento. By just looking at its new looks and almost complete modern features, it is quite certain that the Hyundai Verna will not only compete but may also outrun other cars in its segment.

Hyundai India has updated the Verna sedan, which now comes with host of comfort and styling features. The new models will now feature all-new headlamp units with integrated day-time running LEDs plus new set of alloy wheels. As far as interior is concerned, it comes with back-lit power window buttons plus steering mounted audio controls. The 5th change is that the sedan will now come with steel rim for the spare wheel instead of alloy wheel.

Exterior

The new Hyundai Verna offers a sporty exterior with better-quality and two toned headlamps, L-shaped fog lamps, front hexagonal grille and a sleek and fashionable bonnet. The all new design is inspired by the Hyundai RB. Adding eye-catching looks of the Verna exteriors are the stylish and electrically adjustable side mirror with turn lights, 16 inch alloy wheels and fog lights, chrome finish dual exhaust pipes, chrome plated door handles with big tail lamps and bulky stop lights. Moreover, the Hyundai Verna features horizontally-mounted turn indicators and reverse lights for added sporty looks to the sedan.

Interior

The South Korean car manufacturer has always been praised with its exquisite and elegant interiors. This new Hyundai Verna is not an exception when it comes to exceptional interior designing. Its interior has been created to provide comfort, luxury and it has safety measures such as the fashionable central “V-shaped” console with an integrated audio system, 6 SRS airbags, ABS and EBD (top model) for the front seat driver and passenger, front and rear seat belts and adjustable steering wheel. The sedan also includes ample leg room both in the front and the rear with spacious headrest. When applying reverse gear, the rear camera displays the view in the centre rear view mirror. You can also see faux wood finish in the entire cabin. The overall plastic materials used in the interior are of good quality. The top end variants of the Verna features a standard push button start with key-less entry. There are also standard auto folding mirrors on this variant with an auto-light centre rear view mirror. This variant also has 6 air bags and is said to be the first vehicle to have this safety feature in its segment. Like its former versions, the Hyundai Verna is a 5-seater sedan except that its ergonomic design makes it more comfortable for both driver and passengers. The new Verna encompasses a more comfortable driving seat with low height rear passenger seats for added comfort and enjoyment of the journey.

Comfort and Convenience

When it comes to comfort and convenience, the Hyundai Verna comes with perforated leather upholstery in high-end variants. The adjustable height of the driver’s seat is also an added convenience to support the thigh and back of the driver. Not only that, it provides good back support with sufficient thigh rest and ample space for the passengers. When we are speaking to the rear seats, the Verna is famous for being known as a good comfort provider for all its passengers. Since the vehicle is a 5 seater, it can easily accommodate 3 occupants with its rear seats that have 3 headrests that have the ability to be adjusted. Unlike with its previous versions, the armrest in the middle is added providing extra comfort for the occupants. It also includes power steering, power window and automatic climate control systems for additional comfort while heading out on a long journey.

Dashboard and Storage

The new Hyundai Verna is surprisingly awesome with its dual toned dashboard. Similar to the i20, the steering wheel of the Verna allows the driver to adjust the height of the steering. The car also includes audio and Bluetooth control buttons on the steering wheel to provide easy access to the driver. Its “V” shaped central console is integrated with a single zone climate control, an MP3/FM player and a built-in unique air purifier. It also holds additional exciting features like a cooling glove box for storing chocolate or bottled water or whatever else can fit. Aside from the presence of this exciting feature in the glove box the Verna offers cubby holes to store cans, shades, glasses and other items.

Music System

The Hyundai Verna’s “V” shaped central console includes an MP3/FM player for added entertainment while driving. The audio system is 2DIN dash integrated one with USB and auxiliary ports so one can connect their iPods and other audio devices as well, it also features speed sensing auto volume function. For added perfect audio quality, the music system comes with 4 speakers plus 2 tweeters and steering mounted audio controls also. The dash integrated music system also holds superb accessories baggage. With audio and Bluetooth controls, the Verna provides you with enough ways to entertain yourself and feel good while driving.

As far as engine is concerned new Verna gets four new engines - 2 petrol and 2 diesel. The 1.4 litre petrol generates maximum power of 106 Bhp with max torque of 135 Nm. The 1.6 litre diesel develops maximum power of 126 Bhp with max torque of 265 Nm. The 1.6 L petrol engine has 2 two transmission modes: the automatic transmission and the manual transmission mode

Acceleration and Performance

As mentioned earlier, the Verna is available both in petrol and diesel versions. With regards to the petrol engine variants, they are equipped with a five speed manual gearbox wherein no vibrations can be felt even at high speeds of 140 kmph. When it comes to its top variants, the Verna is capable of delivering a speed of 0 - 60kmph in impressive 4.87 seconds for 1.6 L petrol engine and in 4.71 seconds for the 1.6 L diesel engine. This is definitely a great deal for people who are passionate with fast driving and a sporty look. Needless to say, Hyundai has put a favorable amount of power to Verna that makes it capable of delivering an ideal maximum mileage. The car is also equipped with an ECO mode indicator which helps in providing maximum fuel mileage if your RPM and speed is lower than the ideal figures.

The Hyundai Verna provides some relief to the customer’s budget with its mileage of 15 -17 kmpl and the fuel tank capacity of about 43 Litres. However, the mileage, average and fuel economy differs as per the configuration of each variant.

This new Hyundai version includes 6 total air bags: 2 curtain airbags that is almost the same length as the cabin, 2 side airbags and 2 for the driver and front passenger. The head and chest airbags and front and rear passenger air bags are the new generation of safety features, which are not found in a car of this segment. The vehicle also includes fog lamps and disk brakes or drum brakes depending on the variant. There are also front and rear seat belts that are made up of high quality materials for keeping the safety of the front and rear passengers in case of any collision. Aside from the mentioned safety features, there are also added safety features that are the first in this segment such as: a door unlocking feature whenever there is an impact, door locking when the car reaches certain speeds, clutch locking system and camera for reversing. The above safety features mentioned indeed makes it clear to say that Hyundai Verna is one of the safest vehicles in its segment.

Suspension and Brakes

The Hyundai Verna features a MacPherson Strut front and Torsion Beam Axle rear suspension. The brake system attached to every model will depend on the variant. For the 1.4L petrol or diesel models, they incorporate front disks and rear drum brakes. On the other hand, the 1.6 L petrol or diesel models are fitted with disc brakes both in the front and the rear wheels as well. As an added safety measure for the passengers, all the top variants of the Hyundai Verna include ABS (Anti-lock braking system) and Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) systems.Whatever the variant it is, Hyundai integrates braking systems that will always ensure the complete safety of the occupants as well as the driver.

To add safety measures for the occupants, the vehicle comes with handling features such as reverse parking sensors for easy parking, key-less entry to avoid unauthorized access, reverse camera to avoid unwanted scratches, ABS (Anti-lock braking system) and auto folding electric mirrors. The Verna is specifically designed for the Indian market and for Indian roads as well. Therefore, it rides perfectly both in the city and in the rural places. According to road test experts, this Hyundai’s new addition has a turn radius of 5.2 m that allows the easy turns of the car even in crowded places.

With its sleek exceptional looks, modern technology, and excellent safety features, this Sedan has a lot of great things that makes it capable of competing with the other vehicles in its segment.
