Honda has officially discontinued the Mobilio in India, including the Diesel V (O) variant, due to poor sales and increasing competition in the MPV segment. The company has removed the model from its official website and has stopped production. I think this move was inevitable given the declining sales figures.

The Honda Mobilio Diesel V (O) was known for its spacious interior and robust 1.5L i-DTEC engine, producing 99 bhp and 200 Nm of torque. However, its higher price point compared to competitors like the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga made it less appealing to buyers. I believe the pricing strategy was a significant factor in its decline.

In an effort to revamp the Mobilio, Honda had introduced a facelift in Indonesia, which included cosmetic changes and some feature updates. However, this did not translate to significant sales improvements in India for the Diesel V (O) variant. It seems the updates were not enough to compete with newer models.

The Mobilio Diesel V (O) came with a range of safety features, including a seat belt warning, engine immobilizer, central locking, and child safety locks. Despite these features, the vehicle failed to gain traction in the market. I think safety features alone were not enough to sway buyers.

When launched, the Mobilio Diesel V (O) was praised for its spacious cabin and the Man maximum, machine minimum philosophy, which emphasized passenger comfort. However, over time, the lack of significant updates and competitive pricing led to its decline. I believe the initial design was a strong point, but it wasnt enough.

The Honda Mobilio Diesel V (O) was built on the extended Brio platform, offering a 7-seater configuration and a ground clearance of 189 mm. While these specs were appealing, they were not enough to sustain market interest. It seems the market preferences shifted towards other options.
