Honda Jazz ZX Updates

Honda has discontinued the Honda Jazz, including the ZX variant, due to dwindling sales and the lack of significant updates after 2020. This decision aligns with the BS6 Phase 2 regulations. I think this move might be a strategic step to focus on other models, but its a loss for fans of the Jazz.

The Honda Jazz ZX, the top model in the Jazz lineup, was priced at Rs. 9.43 lakh and offered features like keyless entry, electric sunroof, cruise control, and a 7-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also boasted a comfortable ride quality and improved build quality. I believe these features made it a compelling choice in its segment.

In August 2022, a buyer shared their experience of purchasing a Honda Jazz ZX CVT, highlighting the practicality and comfort of the vehicle. The car was delivered with various accessories, including front and rear bumper corner mouldings and a sun film on the windows. The buyer appreciated the cars build quality and ride comfort. I think the attention to detail in the accessories added value to the purchase.

The Honda Jazz ZX received a facelift in 2020, which included additions such as LED headlamps, fog lamps, and tail lamps, along with a new 7-inch touch screen. However, features like the rear magic seat and 60:40 split seat were omitted. This update aimed to enhance the cars appeal with modern features. I believe the LED lighting was a significant aesthetic and functional upgrade.

The Honda Jazz ZX was known for its safety features, including a 4-star rating from Global NCAP and the presence of two airbags. It also featured advanced safety technologies like the ACE (Advanced Compatibility Engineering) body structure. This focus on safety made it a reliable choice for family use. I think safety should always be a top priority, and Honda did well here.

In terms of performance, the Honda Jazz ZX was powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 89 bhp and 110 Nm of torque, paired with either a five-speed manual or a seven-step CVT gearbox. The CVT variant offered a mileage of 17.1 kmpl. This combination made it a balanced choice for city driving. I think the CVT option was particularly convenient for urban commuters.

The Honda Jazz ZX was available in five monotone colors, including Radiant Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Golden Brown Metallic, Meteoroid Grey Metallic, and Lunar Silver Metallic. This color palette offered a range of options to suit different tastes. I believe the Platinum White Pearl was a popular choice among buyers.

The car featured an automatic climate control system, rear camera with guidance, and keyless entry, enhancing the comfort and convenience for drivers. These features made the Jazz ZX a comfortable and practical family car. I think these features were crucial in making the car appealing to a wide audience.

The Honda Jazz ZX had a spacious interior with a boot space of 354 liters, making it suitable for family use. The car also had a ground clearance of 165 mm, which was adequate for Indian road conditions. I believe the space and ground clearance were significant selling points.

The Jazz ZX model was part of Hondas strategy to offer more premium features in the hatchback segment. It included advanced infotainment systems and mobile app features, making it a tech-savvy option. I think this approach helped Honda stay competitive in the market.
