Why not? MG has been on fire with tech features. However, Fortuner is not the only car that the Majestor could give a run for its money, if they price it right.

I believe it can compete, but it need not win. In the market there is room for both. Toyota will always be chosen by some people for reliability.

Fortuner is not the real competition, it is Gloster. First, MG has to worry about cannibalizing their own sales.

They would have a chance if they have a diesel variant with good fuel efficiency. Fortuner has a big selling point.

It all comes down to resale value. Can MG match Toyota in that aspect? It won't be the Majestor that makes or breaks this segment, that will be that.

I honestly don't think its worth it. It's a solid SUV, the Fortuner, and the Legender's upgrades are largely cosmetic. But you're paying a lot extra for some fancy headlights and a fancier grille.

Disagree. Styling is what makes the Legender stand out, and that counts for a lot of buyers. On top of that, the interior upgrades — the larger screen and wireless charging — are nice quality of life improvements.

It depends on what you value. If you want the latest tech and styling, go with the Legender. If you are, however, more practical, then stick with the regular Fortuner and save some money.

But I would say it’s worth it just for the looks. In the premium SUV segment, that matters, and the Legender turns heads. The regular Fortuner feels more upmarket.

Not worth it in my book. You could get some serious aftermarket upgrades on a standard Fortuner that would make it even better than the Legender, thanks to the price difference.

It definitely feels outdated. If I am paying 50 lakhs, I expect something more than reliability. It feels like it's a decade old infotainment system.

I test drove a Fortuner and Gloster back to back. Night and day difference in features. After that, couldn’t justify the price of the Fortuner.

The Fortuner doesn’t require gimmicks. Buyers of its SUV know what they are getting, a tough and reliable SUV. If you’re looking for a tech showcase, this isn’t it.

Part of the appeal is the simplicity. Not everyone wants a car that has all the bells and whistles. Less is more, sometimes, and especially for long term reliability.
