No chance. Porsche has the brand, Tesla has the tech. Lotus is way out of its depth here.

Lotus is one of those companies that, if anyone can shake up the EV game, it is. Punching above their weight is something they’ve always done.

Tesla's cult following is untouchable, they might steal some sales from Porsche.

The Emeya will sell if it drives anything like Lotus cars. Not everyone is in the market for a tech laden appliance on wheels.
So is the BYD Sealion 7 a true Tesla Model Y competitor?
23 January 2025 11:07
Both have been test driven by me, and I have to admit I was surprised by the Sealion 7. It feels more solid than the Model Y, and that rotating screen is actually pretty cool in real life. Tesla's software, and Autopilot, are still leagues ahead though.
So is the BYD Sealion 7 a true Tesla Model Y competitor?
23 January 2025 11:07
The Supercharger network is Tesla’s killer feature, let’s be real. They’ll always be playing catch-up until they can build that infrastructure until BYD can.
So is the BYD Sealion 7 a true Tesla Model Y competitor?
23 January 2025 11:07
The Sealion 7 is, I think, a serious contender. Battery tech from BYD is top notch and they’re innovating faster than Tesla these days. That price point is hard to ignore, too.
So is the BYD Sealion 7 a true Tesla Model Y competitor?
23 January 2025 11:07
As a Model Y owner, I am quite impressed by the Sealion 7’s specs but I am not sure that it can compete overall with the Tesla experience. Over the air and the ecosystem is what's game changing.

Brand loyalty is a powerful thing. Despite how good the Sealion 7 is on paper, Tesla has a cult following that BYD will struggle to replicate.

22 January 2025 11:20
Tesla is light years ahead in tech and brand value, no way. The Avinya X is cool to look at, but at the end of the day, it is a Tata.
Is the Tata Avinya X a Tesla killer?
22 January 2025 11:20
Don't underestimate Tata. But they’ve been killing it with EVs lately and the Avinya X looks seriously impressive. It may not be a global Tesla killer, but it can certainly be a 'Tesla killer' in the Indian market.
Is the Tata Avinya X a Tesla killer?
22 January 2025 11:20
It's not a 'Tesla killer' thing. The Avinya X is aimed at a different segment. It’s less about Bollinger and more about Tata stepping up their game and giving the Indian market a premium EV option.
Is the Tata Avinya X a Tesla killer?
22 January 2025 11:20
The Avinya X is probably going to be a lot more affordable than a Tesla, let’s be real. That in itself makes it a possible game changer in the Indian EV scene.
Is the Tata Avinya X a Tesla killer?
22 January 2025 11:20
I don't think it's a 'Tesla killer.' Tata's ambition is to create a world class EV and the Avinya X is that. It’s pushing the Indian auto industry forward, whether it succeeds or not.
Is the Tata Avinya X a Tesla killer?
22 January 2025 11:20
The real question is, can Tata deliver on all the promises they are making with the Avinya X. It could definitely shake up the EV market if they can.
Is the Tata Avinya X a Tesla killer?
22 January 2025 11:20
Tesla killer? Nah. However, it could prove to be a 'Hyundai Ioniq 5 killer' or 'Kia EV6 killer' in India. The real competition to watch out for is that.
How does the BE 6’s in car camera feature stack up against Tesla’s cabin camera?
09 January 2025 11:10
Tesla's camera seems more gimmicky than the BE 6's. Who really needs to take selfies in their car? I mean. Tesla's, at least, has one clear safety purpose.
