I’ve put about 5000 km on the P150, and I gotta say, split seat makes all the difference in long rides. I don't get that numb feeling after hours on the road, and it gives better lower back support. Also, my girlfriend reports the pillion seat is a lot more comfortable than our old bike.

I honestly don't like the split seat. The old single piece seat is more practical but it looks cool. In every way, it didn’t solve the two main problems: There wasn’t a way to stretch and, further, it was impossible to slide off a few inches for a sample. Also, it was a pain to clean all of the nooks and crannies. I miss the old design’s versatility.

I ride with a pillion quite a lot, and to me the split seat is a mixed bag. It's great for short trips, since my partner feels more secure. However, in longer rides, they complain they don’t have enough space to shift around. This is a trade off between security and comfort.

In my opinion, the split seat design is more about style than it is about substance. It may look sportier, but I honestly don’t see much of a difference in comfort. Whatever, it gives the bike a smaller look to me, which I am not too taken with.

I was skeptical at first, but after a while I like the split seat design of it. Forcing you to sit more upright when in the saddle actually helps reduce fatigue on long trips. However, it took me some time to get used to it, at the moment I even prefer it over the old way.

Mechanically, the split seat design is actually very smart. Accessing the battery and other components under the seat is easier. You can also replace a single part of the seat, not the whole thing, and secondly, plus, if a single part of the seat gets damaged, you can just replace that single part.

The split seat is a step in the right direction, but it's not perfect. The pillion seat is not so good but the rider's portion is great. Perhaps Bajaj might well provide an additional extension pillion seat as a package where two up comfort takes precedence.

It's actually pretty awesome. When you're alone, you can slide back for a more relaxed ride; when you have a passenger, scoot forward. You can also strap stuff to the back part. It feels like it's a built in mini luggage rack.

Gimmick all the way. Why does anybody need that much seat on a 125cc bike? It's just weird to look at and probably changes the handling for the worse.

For a family, I think it's genius. You see entire families on one bike in India. At least it gives them a little room to move.

The long seat is awesome until you try to back the bike up. From the middle of that thing, good luck reaching the ground!

It's not just about seating. The extra space is great for delivery guys that need to carry boxes or bags. But it's like a built in cargo area.

I'd be worried about the material of the seat. That's a lot of surface area if it's not good quality, and it's going to start cracking and peeling over time.

It’s overkill for most, but there’s a niche market that would really love it. And sometimes, it’s the weird features that become the defining features for a bike.

It's not that bad! My wife rides pillion all the time and doesn't complain. These days people are just too picky.

Torture rack is an understatement. For more than 10 minutes, my girlfriend won't ride on it. It's a deal-breaker for couples.

I put a gel cushion cover on it, and it’s actually pretty comfortable now. A little DIY goes a long way!

In this segment of bikes, the Discover’s pillion seat is average compared to other bikes. Not great, not terrible. You get what you pay for.

Having ridden pillion quite often, I’d say it’s fine for short trips, but after 30 minutes or so, it starts to become uncomfortable. Definitely room for improvement.

I think people exaggerate. It’s not a luxury tourer, it’s a budget commuter. The pillion seat is good enough for daily city use.
