Is the infotainment system on the Kia Sportage a deal breaker?
06 January 2025 07:29
I don't think people are making too big a deal out of this. For what most people need - navigation, music and phone calls - the infotainment is fine. If you’re looking for a tech powerhouse, buy a Tesla. It may have quirks in the infotainment department, but overall the Sportage gives you great value elsewhere.
Is the Kia Sportage's design more stylish than practical?
06 January 2025 07:29
The Sportage's design, I think, is one that Kia nailed it. Yes, it's not perfect, but name one modern car where it is. I feel like I’m driving something special, not just another boring crossover, because of the style. And let's be real, the cargo space is still more than enough for most people.
Is the Kia Sportage too soft a ride for enthusiastic driving?
06 January 2025 07:29
It is too soft a ride for my taste. It’s not a sports car, I get that, but in crossovers, it’s on the softer side of the spectrum. What I wish is that Kia had found some middle ground between the two, a bit more engagement without too much comfort being lost.
Do the Kia Sportage's driver assistance features help or hinder?
06 January 2025 07:29
The driver assists in my Sportage are something I love. Adaptive cruise control is a life saver for highway driving, and lane keep assist just adds that extra layer of safety. They’re sure a bit of a learning curve, but once you get used to them they’re super helpful.
Is the Kia Sportage's fuel economy disappointing for a small compact SUV in 2012?
06 January 2025 07:29
We must realize that fuel economy of SUVs is a reality. The Sportage is just average, it's not terrible. If you want good fuel economy, get the hybrid, or buy a smaller car. Given that you're expecting to use a spacious, comfortable SUV, you can't expect it to sip fuel like a compact.
