It’s not great, but what do you expect from a sporty hatch? In the city I get about 11-12 km/l which is okay for the performance.

I'm actually impressed. If I drive sensibly, I get about 16-17 km/l on highways. That turbo is all about how you use it.

Start enjoying the car and fuel efficiency goes out the window. Isn’t that the point of getting an N Line?

It's thirsty in traffic. In heavy city driving, I’m barely getting 9-10 km/l. If you have a long commute, definitely consider this.

It’s pretty efficient for a turbo engine, I think. Mixed driving averages 14-15 km/l (mpg). As long as you don't mash the throttle everywhere.

In city driving, the DCT version appears more efficient than the manual. Could it be because it shifts more optimally?

The extra performance, however, makes up for the lack of efficiency compared to the naturally aspirated i20. You can't have it all!
Is the N Line i20’s performance worth its extra cash over the standard i20?

Absolutely worth it! If nothing else, the turbo engine and stiffer suspension turns the driving experience. It's another car entirely.
Is the N Line i20’s performance worth its extra cash over the standard i20?

Not really. In daily driving, the performance difference isn’t that noticeable. You're paying more for badges and more red accents.
Is the N Line i20’s performance worth its extra cash over the standard i20?

That depends. If you are a driving person, then the N Line is every penny worth it. If you just want A to B transport, stick to the regular i20.
Is the N Line i20’s performance worth its extra cash over the standard i20?

For what it offers, I think it is overpriced. If you're not so closed minded and are willing to look at sedans you can get much more powerful cars for the same money.

Performance isn’t the only thing that justifies the premium. You get better brakes, nicer interior and more features.

The exclusivity is worth it alone. How rare are i20 N Lines to see compared to regular i20s?
Is the N Line i20’s performance worth its extra cash over the standard i20?

I'd say it's 70% worth it. It’s a much better driving experience, but I wish they’d given it just a little bit more power to really make it stand out.
Is the trade off in ride comfort worth the stiffer suspension of the i20 N Line?

Absolutely worth it! With the stiffer suspension you can feel alive and connected with the road. It’s just more communicative, it’s not even that harsh.
Is the trade off in ride comfort worth the stiffer suspension of the i20 N Line?

Never, it’s too harsh for daily wear. I drove it and felt every bump. If you want comfort, stick with the regular i20.
Is the trade off in ride comfort worth the stiffer suspension of the i20 N Line?

It is a good balance for enthusiasts. Sporty enough to be fun but not track hard enough to kill your back on longer drives.
Is the trade off in ride comfort worth the stiffer suspension of the i20 N Line?

Depends on your roads. It is great in cities with decent tarmac. You might regret it if you deal with a lot of potholes.
Is the trade off in ride comfort worth the stiffer suspension of the i20 N Line?
02 January 2025 11:14
I actually prefer it. It makes the car feel more premium, and less floaty, than other hatchbacks. It just takes some getting used to.

A family hatch is overkill. Hyundai should have worked on better NVH, not tried to be a hot hatch.
