Is the trade off in ride comfort worth the stiffer suspension of the i20 N Line?
Sportier suspension and handling over the standard i20 are also promised with the i20 N Line. While this provides a firmer ride that some drivers don't like on bad roads, especially. The question is whether the better dynamics are worth the tradeoff in everyday comfort, especially for drivers who primarily use the car in the city. While some say the stiffer ride imbues character and makes the car more fun, others think it's a sacrifice too far for a hatchback that's not a full on performance car. Along with how well the suspension plays out in Indian road conditions, there’s also plenty of discussion around if the suspension is too harsh for long drives or daily commutes.
Absolutely worth it! With the stiffer suspension you can feel alive and connected with the road. It’s just more communicative, it’s not even that harsh.
Never, it’s too harsh for daily wear. I drove it and felt every bump. If you want comfort, stick with the regular i20.
It is a good balance for enthusiasts. Sporty enough to be fun but not track hard enough to kill your back on longer drives.
Depends on your roads. It is great in cities with decent tarmac. You might regret it if you deal with a lot of potholes.
I actually prefer it. It makes the car feel more premium, and less floaty, than other hatchbacks. It just takes some getting used to.
A family hatch is overkill. Hyundai should have worked on better NVH, not tried to be a hot hatch.
That’s what makes it an N Line, the stiff suspension! If you don’t want comfort, buy a Creta.
