Could the Apollo IE be driven on a daily basis?

The real question lies in the why. Why would you want to? But the joy of a car like the IE is its specialness. That magic would be killed with daily driving.
Will the style that is Apollo IE contribute to hypercar aesthetes?
30 January 2025 10:12
I doubt it. There is just too much of the IE for it to be mainstream appealing. In all likelihood it won't inspire much, but if anything I think it may cause some elements, but as a whole thing, I don't think it'll have much influence.
Does Apollo IE’s extreme design come at the cost of functionality?
30 January 2025 10:12
It's a bit of both. The aero is functional aero but some elements are more for show than anything else. It’s getting to harmony between engineering and art.
Is $2.7 million too much to pay for the Apollo IE?
30 January 2025 10:12
I might argue it is overpriced, but not by much. It’s not worth a premium of that amount for the engineering, materials, and exclusivity.
But will Apollo IE have any meaningful impact on hypercar design?
30 January 2025 10:09
I doubt it. It’s just too extreme for most tastes. It's not going to be a trend, I can tell you that. There will have been dust blown in someone's eye; that's all. It will be remembered as a curiosity.
With hybrid hypercars now the flavor of the day, is the Apollo IE's naturally aspirated V12 passé?
30 January 2025 10:09
Numbers don’t matter—they are outdated only if you care about them. The IE is an emotional product and for that, the V12 delivers in spades.
At this intemperate price should you be prepared to put up with the Apollo IE’s exclusivity?
30 January 2025 10:09
They don’t give a hoot about the price for the target market. That’s about owning something no one else in the world will ever have.
Could the Apollo IE be something that I could be getting into on a daily basis?
30 January 2025 10:09
Why not? If you can, drive it. If you can not, take public transit and do not be ashamed to walk too. After all, a car isn’t just a car, it’s meant to be used, it’s supposed to have a reason to exist.
Is Apollo IE’s design is a bit too over the top?
30 January 2025 10:09
To me, it’s just right for what it is. The point is, it’s not trying to be subtle.
