Synopsis

BMW M4 coupe is a perfect combination of sporty and aggressive design, advanced and aerodynamic features and a lot of creative work. Also, BMW has tried to keep the drag as low as possible and create a lot of down force with this marvellous piece of machinery.

It has got two doors, a big front apron with three large air inlets for complete engine cooling, a power-dome hood that completely delineates the shape of the turbocharger engine, an air curtain, the vertical M gills on the sides with an integrated air breather for efficient aerodynamics, sporty and body colored extended front bumper, the new narrow and wide twin front headlights with optional LED technology, a little tweaked and twin-stalk style body colored side-view mirrors, a smoothly flowing roofline with an airflow channel, muscular wheel arches, a carbon-fiber roof to reduce the weight of the coupe by almost 5kgs and also reducing center of gravity that reduces body roll and increases handling, aluminum front fenders and hood, a redesigned trunk lid for more down force, carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic made integrated rear spoiler, flared rear wheel arches, body colored door handles, beautiful tail lights, M exterior mirror casings, rear apron with an integrated diffuser, a new exhaust system with high-gloss polished M twin tailpipes, a stylish front M double kidney grille in black gloss and stylishly forged 18-inch BMW M light-alloy wheels with 255/40 front and 275/40 rear rubber along with the optional 19-inch M double-spoke alloy wheels (available in black too).

M4 coupe has a length of 4671mm, a width of 1870mm and a height of 1383mm as its dimensions and a large wheelbase of 2812mm for a comfortable and stable ride. It also has a front and rear track of 1579mm and 1603mm respectively and an unladen weight of 1572kgs for manual and 1612kgs for automatic transmission. It has a maximum permissible weight of 2040kgs and a fuel tank capacity of approximately 60liters.

2015 BMW M4 coupe has got a new and powerful 2979cc, 3.0L, in-line 6-cylinders, 24-valves, Direct Fuel Injection, M TwinPower Turbo Technology with 2 mono-scroll high-precision turbochargers, coded S55, I-6 petrol engine with a maximum power of 425bhp at 5500-7300rpm and a maximum torque of 550Nm at 1850-5500rpm. It is mated with a six-speed manual gearbox transmission with an automatic throttle-blip system which makes 0-100kmph mark in 4.3 seconds with a top speed of almost 250kmph, an urban fuel consumption of 12.0l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 204g/km.

M4 Coupe also has an optional seven-speed M Double Clutch transmission with an Integrated Launch Control, Stability Clutch Control and Drive logic which makes 0-100kmph mark in just 4.1 seconds with a top speed of almost 250kmph, an urban fuel consumption of 11.1l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 194g/km. The engine also has a bore and stroke of 84mm and 89.6mm respectively, a 10.2:1 compression ratio, BMW's Active M Differential, Fully Variable Valve Timing (VALVETRONIC), Variable Camshaft Control (Double-VANOS), a Dynamic Stability Control System with M Dynamic Mode, an indirect intercooler (to maximize charger pressure), water and oil coolers and an electronic water pump to keep the bearing mounts from frying.

2015 BMW M4 coupe has got ventilated disk brakes at front and disk brakes at rear wheels. The front suspension includes aluminum control arms, front axle sub-frame and wheel carriers with the frame being bolted directly to the chassis with ball joints, an aluminum stiffening plate and a carbon-fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) strut-tower bracing.
