BMW 2 Series

BMW 2-Series Coupe is a 2-door, 4-seat, rear-wheel-drive coupe with amazing features and design specifications and is based on the 1-Series platform. The company also announced that this spectacular coupe will replace the 1-Series in the market. U.S.A. will witness 2 models of 2-Series Coupe: M235i Petrol and 228i Petrol, while the European market will have 3: M235i Petrol, 220d Diesel and 220i Petrol. It will arrive in the Indian market by the end of this year.

The exterior of BMW 2-Series Coupe gives a fresh, aerodynamic, stylish and sporty look and includes the double kidney front grille with forward-slanting vertical slats in matt black and chromed frame, body colored bumper with a large air intake in the center and fog lights on its both end, long and stylish bonnet, bright and angular adaptive headlights with cornering lights, bi-xenon headlight technology, variable motorway and city light distribution and high-beam assistant, body colored outside door handles, stylish and body colored power ORVMs with integrated side turn indicators, 16-inch light-alloy aluminum wheels, striking side skirts, single round exhaust tailpipe, horizontally aligned L-shaped tail lights with LED light bars, tailgate with a spoiler lip, diffuser elements on the rear apron and model's name(220i or 220d) written on the rear in chrome. This beautiful machine has a width of 1774mm, a length of 4432mm and a height of 1418mm as its dimensions and a fairly large wheelbase of 2690mm for a stable ride. It has a ground clearance of 140mm for a bump-free ride and a fuel tank capacity of 52liters. The maximum permissible weight is 1875kgs for 220i and 1900kgs for 220d.

The 1995cc, 2.0L, In-line 4-cylinders, 16-valves, BMW TwinPower Turbo diesel engine has a maximum power of 184bhp at 4000rpm and a maximum torque of 380Nm at 1750-2750rpm and has a 6-speed manual transmission (top speed of 230kmph and takes 7.2 seconds to reach 0-100kmph mark) and 8-speed automatic transmission (top speed of 230kmph and takes 7.1 seconds to reach 0-100kmph mark).
