The Honda CBR125R has been a sales sensation. It's easy to ride, comfortable, gives good fuel economy and, above all, it’s a Honda, so it's built incredibly strongly. As a 125cc motorbike it's suitable for learners on L-plates as long as they've passed a CBT. For 2011 the CBR125R was updated. The mini-emperor had new clothes and everyone could see they were considerably sportier. While not as sharp as the Yamaha YZF-R125, it carried off the ‘big-bike’ look very well. It rode just as well too. The CBR125R went off sale in 2018, leaving just Honda's naked CB125R and ultra practical and thrifty CB125F in Honda's full-size 125 motorbike range.

The Honda CBR125R has not been launched in India, despite its popularity and demand. Fans of the bike have been eagerly waiting, but Honda has not announced any plans for its Indian launch. The bike, known for its stylish design and easy handling, remains a favorite among new riders. I believe this is a missed opportunity for Honda to tap into the Indian market.

The Honda CBR125R, although not available in India, is praised for its performance and comfort. It features a 124.7cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine producing 13.1 BHP and 10.41 Nm of torque. The bike is known for its ease of handling and fuel efficiency, making it ideal for city riding. I believe its absence in the Indian market is felt, especially by new riders looking for a reliable and stylish bike.

Despite the continuous updates and improvements to Hondas 125cc lineup, such as the CB125R, there has been no official word on the launch of the CBR125R in India. This has led to a lot of speculation and disappointment among potential buyers. I think Honda should reconsider launching this model to cater to the growing demand for entry-level sports bikes in India.

The Honda CBR125R was last updated in 2011 with a sportier design and improved performance, but it went off sale in 2018. Since then, there have been no new models or updates available in India. The bikes fans continue to hope for a revival or a new launch, but so far, there are no concrete plans. I believe reviving this model could help Honda regain some market share in the entry-level sports bike segment.

The Honda CB125R, a close relative of the CBR125R, has been updated globally with a new TFT instrument cluster and four new color options. However, there is no confirmation on its launch in India due to pricing concerns, as it would be difficult for Honda to match the prices of locally manufactured bikes like the KTM 125 Duke. I think this upgrade would have been a great addition to the Indian market, but pricing remains a significant hurdle.
