Is the Stargazer's unique design a hit to resale value worth?

Absolutely worth it! Investments they are, but the cars are more than that. The trade off to something unique every day is in your driving pleasure, and that's worth it for my needs.
Is the Stargazer's unique design a hit to resale value worth?

No way. Family cars need to have resale value. I'd rather do a more conventional design that will be easier to sell later.

But it's a gamble and could pay out. If it does become iconic, it might actually be a better value than boring MPVs. Consider how well aged unique cars such as the original Mini or VW Beetle.
Is the Stargazer's unique design a hit to resale value worth?

Not worth it for me. I'd rather have something practical, and easy to sell when I want to upgrade. The Stargazer is like it's trying too hard.
Is the Stargazer's unique design a hit to resale value worth?

It depends, I think, on how long you intend to keep it. If you’re in it for the long haul, go for it. Maybe stick to something more conventional if you switch cars every 3-4 years.
Is the Stargazer's unique design a hit to resale value worth?

That’s exactly why it might have value because of the unique design. Amidst a lot of MPVs that are carbon copies of each other, the Stargazer does stand out. In the used market that uniqueness could be appealing.

If you really love the design, it’s worth it. Cars depreciate anyways why not enjoy what you’re driving. You don't have all the time in the world to drive a boring car!
Is the Hyundai Stargazer's unique design a success or failure?

It's definitely a hit for me! It's finally an MPV that doesn't appear to be a boring bread box on wheels. I feel like I am driving a spaceship from Star Trek.

Miss, big time. It appears that someone attempted to iron a normal car, and got half way through. I give Hyundai credit for trying something different but this is just too out there for me.

I'm torn. It’s jarring at first, but the more I look at it, the more I like it. You don’t get it at first, but then you get it. It’s like modern art.

Hit for sure! It is nice to see a car company taking risks. The Stargazer sticks out among a sea of lookalike MPVs. And it'll probably age better than more conservative designs.

Massive miss. It’s trying to be too futuristic and just looks like a cheap knockoff concept car. I would be embarrassed if I drove this around town.

I think it's a hit, it just isn't for everyone. Perfect for young families wanting something cool and different. It’s the cool dad of MPVs.

It's growing on me. Initially I thought it was hideous, but now I sort of like its quirkiness. Basically the pug of cars, so ugly it's cute.
The Stargazer’s third row comfort, how does it fare against other MPVs in its class?

Surprisingly good! At first I was skeptical but the reclining feature makes a huge difference. It's not limo level comfort but it’s way better than being crammed in the back of a Mitsubishi Xpander.

Nothing special, but okay. It’s nice to recline, but there’s still not enough leg room for adults. Fine for kids, though.

I believe that's a game changer for the segment. Usually only in much more expensive vehicles, you can recline in the third row. Long trips are so much more bearable with it.

Back there it's still cramped, honestly. It’s just a gimmick to hide the lack of space. I’d prefer to have a boxier design with more room.

It's a mixed bag. It's comfortable enough but it's a pain getting in and out as the roofline slopes. Either you want to be comfortable seated, or you want easy access.

As a 6'2 guy, I was pleasantly surprised. I wouldn't want to spend hours back there but for short trips it is totally manageable. For a price, that's more than I can say for most MPVs.
