Software could very well be the next place we see the customization scene shift to. Instead, we could expect a market for custom riding modes, power delivery maps and even sounds that are played through external speakers.

I’ve been an Enfield rider for a long time so the VS01 is piquing my curiosity. If they can work out their charging anxiety, it could be a great option for riders who want the cruisability of an old school bike without the headaches of maintenance.

The battery tech is changing very fast. Performance will suffer with extreme temps, but it’s not as bad as people make you think. And you don't have to worry about your engine overheating in traffic jams!

I really think people are missing the point. It’s not about removing every petrol bike on the planet. It’s about providing riders more choice. If you like something stylish and eco friendly, the VS01 is perfect for daily commuters.

It's a trade-off. You get some of the cruiser experience you lose, but you get more in other areas. But the real question is do the gains in efficiency and ease of use outweigh the loss of 'character' for you?
