Mahindra XUV500, a stylish SUV is the latest addition in the D-segment of SUV market in India. The SUV gives the look of a cat with large front bumper that has large projector headlamps, along with that we can see recessed fog lamps combined with the streaked air dam. The huge wheels are equipped with stylish 17 inch alloy wheels that give this SUV a rugged look. The spare wheel is placed under the body of the SUV. It is designed at M&M's world class research and development facility in Chennai. Its tailgate opens upwards and also provides a large loading area on folding the rear row seats. It has a decent ARAI certified mileage of 15.1kmpl. The XUV is available in both 2-wheel and 4-wheel drive versions. The vehicle is also equipped with a 5th generation variable turbocharger that gives the acceleration of 0-60kmph in only 5.4 seconds. Its safety features includes Rollover Mitigation to help locate possible dangerous driving conditions, Electronic Stability Program, ABS with EBD and Hill Descent and Hill Control and outstanding six air-bag reinforcements. The vehicle also has side impact beams that not only absorb crash energy but also the surrounding energy of the passenger compartment. The XUV500 also has NexTrac, a modern electronically-controlled, Interactive Torque Management System to control the clutch and other systems of the vehicle and allows it automatically to reconstruct torque between front and rear wheels.
Mahindra XUV500 is available in eight shades, Satin White, Volcano Black, Amazon Green, Moondust Silver, Tuscan Red, Opulant Purple, Arctic Blue and Dolphin Grey. Also Mahindra provides you with a warranty of 3 years or 100000 kms and 3 year or 60,000km service plan and roadside assistance for first year.
