excellent car for this price ..geting 23km/ltr with 4 pasengers on highway and 19 in city,,stylish and nice car..service only on 15000 kms or 1.5 year charges around 3000.we r not going fro race .it has enough power and torque .. if u have total 4 members in family ..this is very best and cheap car ..thanx GM/Chevrolet..www.lenmen.webs.com LS price on 11/2012 after all deduction and offer OTR is Rs.531200/-

Done my 5000 kms service @ KLN motors, Chennai. This was the worst service I have ever faced with authorized dealer. After escalation through email, got proper response to resolve the issues. I personally prefer Maruti products for after sales service in India, compared to other car brands and already using Maruti Swift VDi (2008) model, which is running in good condition.Conclusion: Overall Chevrolet Beat Diesel LT car is excellent, but after sales = worst service.

Am 6’1 tall and initially felt very uncomfortable due to low seating position and faced leg pain with my Beat Diesel LT model. Manually adjusted the driver seat height position by giving extra cushion @ time of fixing the decent seat cover (after market, GP Road - Chennai). Now I love my driving pleasure without any discomfort and smooth engine. Done almost 800+ kms and getting 22 kmpl on average. Need to check the millage after 1st service. Don’t compare with other diesel hatchbacks greater than 1000 CC and top speed or power, where this is good enough for every day city usage and occasional highway trip. The only thing missing is the Bluetooth and driver seat height position – hope GM will look into this in near future and give additional support for existing customers. Need to increase service stations for better reputation from GM.

Funky car... Best suited in the city conditions... 1 thing i need to say people who commenting about the power of the car.. You are not going for a race... Its designed according to indian road conditions.. The power of the car is enough to cruise about 125 KMPH.... Torque of the car is equal to NISSAN MICRA(150NM) which is much expensive and low reliable than BEAT... Its definitely a value for money car... :-)

Good mileage around 17-19 in city.. Need not switch frequently coz of its advcd engine technology.. The only problem is the view.. Difference between Diesel and Petrol Base model is about 1.10L. Now on average a person drives about 25K per year, and taking 22 kml (I'm sure it will be less but just to Beat the benefit), and Rs 25 (Diesel/Petrol difference) that is is saving of Rs 28K per year. Now, without taking the TVM concept, it will take 5 years just to break even the Diesel/Petrol price difference. Plus remember you are paying extra ~12.5% on the extra Lk of loan you take on Diesel variant. You could have better used 1L extra to cover the petrol price difference over 5 years.

I'm not even taking in account the extra on maintenance cost for Diesel variant, driving pleasure lacking on Diesel as reported and life of the vehicle.

GM is new to Diesel, they do not have the expertise in building Diesel engines. Rather they are new to the whole concept of small segment cars. I will wait and watch for at least a year to see how GM fares on Beat (both Petrol and Diesel).

Hi guys, i have taken the test drive an its really under-power an it makes lot of annoying noise. the engine is not developed over nite  it took the company many years.well i wont pay such money for a under powered three cylinder only 57 bhp diesel car...Regards.

Please driver the car for any decision. if u think its price more check with the dealer for the reason. bcoz the technology used in this car is wonderful..  and to develop the same technology other need minimum 3 to 4 yrs... so take the decision before going to other car..

I think the price should be even more lesser than mentioned.. Maruti's Ritz top model is available in 1248cc engine at the same price... the why should one buy 936.... with even better torque and BHP..

The prices are real high... if the prices remains this.... this could be a blunder for Chevy... Perfect Failure..!!!!
