Yamaha R15 v3.0 was recently sold out in 20 minutes when its bookings were open to the public of Indonesia on April 1, 2017. The motorcycle was first introduced in Indonesia and Thailand while the Thai market will also soon witness the same kind of event in the coming days. The news was shared on the official page of Yamaha Motor Indonesia. R15 VVA 155, as they have mentioned the bike on their page, has gathered a huge fan following in these few days. The brand was already one of the most popular one among entry level motorcycles.

Yamaha R15 V3 Sold Out in 20 Minutes

Those who have booked these bikes in the first phase will get complimentary VR46 T-Shirts from Yamaha. The motorcycle now uses a bigger 155.1 cc, liquid cooled and fuel injected engine that is good for class leading 19.04 BHP at 10,000 rpm and 14.7 Nm at 8500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox while slipper clutch has been added to provide an even better track driving experience. R15 v3.0 also comes with full LED headlights, higher seat position and an all new design that's inspired from the flagship motorcycle in the lineup. Yamaah R15 also gets new all-digital instrument console and USD (Upside Down) front suspension.

Currently, the shades on offer are Racing Blue, Matte Red and Matte Black. Despite of getting a higher price tag for sure, the motorcycle will stay the favorite of riders who are looking for lightweight performance motorcycle that can be ridden everyday. According to an earlier report, R15 v3.0 has been priced at 34.5 million IDR on-road, equating to around INR 1.7 lakh.

The current spec R15 costs above INR 1.3 lakh on-road while the new additions will definitely result in a price hike. It rivals Honda CBR150R and Suzuki GSX-R150 internationally. As of now, Yamaha has not announced anything officially regarding the launch of R15 Version 3.0 in India. It is expected to come to India after 6-8 months. Yamaha R15 V3 is expected to come with an ex-showroom price tag of around INR 1.30-1.40 lakhs (ex-showroom).
