Yamaha YZF-R15 updates itself and now gets the auto headlamp on feature as standard on both R15 Version 2.0 and R15S. The motorcycle was recently expected to bring the third generation model for the Indian market while the implementation of AHO means it would take considerable time to fulfill the dreams of Yamaha fans. They can even sell the current generation model for a full year. The next bikes to have this technology in Yamaha's lineup would be Fazer and FZ. Article image

Yamaha R15 Gets Auto-Headlamp-On Feature

The auto headlight on feature turns on the headlight whenever the key is turned to its right and engine ignited. This is beneficial in rough weather as other people on road actually know your presence in real time. With this addition, the bikes do not get a switch to turn the headlamp off. The motorcycle sells with the same set of shades in the Indian market. Surprisingly, the prices are even the same as the manual headlight Yamaha R15. Yamaha R15S is priced at INR 1,15,241 while the R15 version 2.0 can be bought for INR 1,18,373. Article image The motorcycle is powered by the same 149cc, 1-cylinder, liquid cooled and fuel injected engine that produces 17 PS at 8500 rpm and 15 Nm at 7500 rpm. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and weighs 134 kg / 136 kg for R15-S / R15 version 2.0. It has a comfortable 800 mm of seat height and drives safe with its 160 mm of respectable ground clearance.
