Yamaha FZ25 is the most-affordable 250cc machine at its price tag. It has once again proved that performance and value for money factor can do together in a single outfit. BikeAdvice recently posted a video that shows how the motorcycle sprints from 0-100 kmph and then goes to 140 kmph in the same ride.
The readings on the motorcycle's speedometer are real world values and would have differences from the V-Box tested values for sure. The video clearly shows the other side of Yamaha FZ25, sprinting like a true quarter liter machine.
The 0-100 kmph on the FZ25 comes in just 8 seconds while the bike takes 5 more seconds to reach 120 kmph. The engine looses value after this moment as 0-130 kmph took 17 seconds. The least performing section for the motorcycle is from 130 to 140 kmph as it takes nearly 10 seconds to increase its visible speed by 10 kmph.
The motorcycle is real quick as even after showing least impressive values on paper, it can perform extraordinary well. Not just that, the video tags the FZ25 as being the quickest 250cc motorcycle of India, it even beats KTM Duke 250 by a good margin.
The 249cc, oil cooled and fuel injected engine is good for 20.69 BHP at 8000 rpm and 20 Nm at 6000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox while the claimed mileage for the same is 43 kmpl. It can be bought in three exciting shades namely Ballistic Blue, Warrior White and Knight Black.
The motorcycle costs INR 1,20,385 and comes in a single non-ABS variant. Yamaha is currently testing a fully faired version of the same motorcycle and may name the same as Fazer 250 for the Indian market.
