2017 Yamaha R3 entered US recently, loaded with the same R-series fun and mind blowing 3 new shades. The new shades are named Team Yamaha Blue, Matte Black and Vivid White. It is rare when Yamaha introduces White shade for its motorcycle while the Blue shade here is the same one seen on bigger 2017 Yamaha R6 and R1. The motorcycle is being sold with a price tag of $4,999 for the non ABS variant and $5,299 for the ABS variant in the US.
3 New Shades Introduced for Yamaha R3 in the US
Indian Yamaha R3 is imported from Thailand, where the current shades on offer are different than the US market, reducing the chances of getting the new shades in India before New Year. The motorcycle is powered by a 321cc, twin cylinder, liquid cooled and fuel injected engine producing 41.4 BHP at 10750 rpm and 29.6 Nm at 9000 rpm. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The top speed of Yamaha R3 is rated at 188 kmph, along with its 0-100 kmph sprint time of 6 seconds. The bike weighs 169 kg and retails for INR 3.26 lakh. It rivals Kawasaki Ninja 300 and KTM RC 390 in India. The new shades are really attractive and they could help Yamaha reach more customers with typical choices when it comes to exterior body finish. Yamaha R3 is also available in Red shade in Canada and it is one of the best shades we have ever seen on a Yamaha sport bike.
