Realme has announced the GT Neo5 in China. It is the company's latest smartphone in the GT Neo series. The GT Neo5 comes with a Tianma 6.74”, 144Hz 1.5K flat AMOLED screen. It also has 2160Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming, a brightness of up to 1400 nits, and a 2.31mm ultra-narrow chin.
The phone is equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, 16GB RAM, and 1TB storage. There is a variable heat dissipation system max with a cooling area of 6580 mm2. A 3D VC cooling area of 4500 mm2 and a 1500Hz gaming control engine. The gaming engine is customised for players, and an antenna matrix system 2.0.
A transparent RGB design is inspired by transparent gaming chassis. This includes a transparent double-film zero-noise technology and a deco-integrated metal camera. A halo RGB system with 25 colours, 5-speed adjustments, and customizable settings.
The Purple colour employs the industry's first matte fusion process in a glass piece with four textures. The white is a translucent and warm combination of black and white. The Black has fine particles that are deep and it uses three different colours of Starlight.
The phone includes a 50MP Sony IMX890 with OIS and HyperShot 2.0. It has Turbo RAW lossless image algorithm and Street shooting mode 3.0. Along with a microscope lens and an 8MP ultra-wide camera.
There are two models available, one with a 4600mAh battery and 240W fast charging. Making it the fastest-charging phone in mass production. Realme claims 2 hours of talk time with 30 seconds of charge. 80 seconds to 20%, 4 minutes to 50%, and 9 minutes to full charge. The 5000mAh battery version has a charging capacity of 150W and can charge to 100% in 16 minutes.
The phone is now available for pre-order and will be available for sale in China on February 15th. During the first sale, the 150W variant will be discounted by 100 yuan. Sky Li, CEO of Realme, has confirmed that the phone will be available globally soon.
