Booking for the CNG versions of the Toyota Rumion has been stopped. In India, the starting price is Rs. 10.44 lakh (excluding showroom costs). In August 2023, Toyota debuted the Rumion, a new Maruti Ertiga variant, in India. Since then, it has become quite popular among people looking to buy Multi-Purpose Vehicles (MPVs) in the country and this popularity has led to a waiting period for the car.
Toyota offers the Rumion in three versions: S, G, and V, with both petrol and CNG engines. Right now, people who want to buy the petrol versions of the Rumion will have to wait for 28-32 weeks from the day they make the booking. However, those who were considering buying the CNG versions might need to rethink their decision because Toyota has stopped taking bookings for them.
The Rumion is powered only by a 1.5-litre petrol engine. This engine produces 103bhp/136Nm of power in petrol mode and 87bhp/121Nm of power in CNG mode. It comes with a standard five-speed manual transmission, while the petrol version also offers a six-speed torque converter option.
The prices of the Rumion MPV range from Rs. 10.44 lakh to Rs. 13.73 lakh (excluding showroom costs). It competes with other popular models like the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the Kia Carens.
