They are using this platform to make high voltage electric cars as these are considered the most effective mode of personal transport in coming years. Still, the first version of Racemo will be gasoline powered as other electric options will be placed under intense testing before the fight for electric power begins around the world. Racemo+ is powered by a 150 kW motor with 400V peak voltage and claimed range of 350 km. Present Tata electric cars use only 72V peak voltage. Tata Motors sports car uses powerful 1198cc, turbocharged 3-cylinder engine producing 190 HP at 6500 rpm and 210 Nm at 2500 rpm. One lesser powerful version of this engine is employed with Tata Nexon (110PS / 170Nm). Racemo will be track focused and thus, 0-100 kmph comes up in 6 sec. It weighs 800 kg and measures well under 4 meter (3835 mm). TAMO will bring a limited production run for their first model, pricing it well over INR 20 lakh and creating an all new space for sports cars in India. The design even features their Humanity Line front grill.
