Tata Motors has increased the versatility of the Nexon compact SUV offering by adding five additional AMT options. The petrol-AMT lineup now begins at Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) for the Smart+ trim, while the diesel-AMT variants start from Rs 11.80 lakh for the Pure trim. Initially, the most affordable Nexon petrol-AMT was priced at Rs 11.70 lakh, and the entry-level diesel-AMT variant was priced at Rs 13 lakh, both based on the mid-spec Creative trim.

Petrol AMT
- Smart+: Rs 10 lakh
- Pure: Rs 10.50 lakh

- Pure: Rs 11.80 lakh

The new entry-level AMT variants are based on the Smart+, Pure, and Pure S trims. The Smart+ petrol AMT is priced at Rs 1.70 lakh lower than the Creative AMT. Both petrol and diesel variants feature 6-speed AMT gearboxes.
Tata Nexon AMT Features
In terms of features, even the base Nexon Smart+ is well-equipped with LED DRLs, a 7-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, four speakers, electrically adjustable ORVMs, drive modes, 6 airbags, ESC, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
With the Pure trim, you may get additional amenities like voice commands, touch-based HVAC controls, knitted roof liner, roof rails, rear AC vents, full LED headlights and tail lamps, wheel covers, and knitted roof liner. Apart from the electrochromic IRVM above the Pure trim, the Pure S variant gets an auto headlight and wiper system as well as a sunroof.
Tata Nexon AMT Powertrain
Under the hood, the Nexon AMT is powered by a 120hp, 170Nm, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine. In addition to the 6-speed AMT, this engine is also available with a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox (with paddle shifters), depending on the variant. The diesel variant features a 115hp, 260Nm, 1.5-litre unit, which is also available with a 6-speed manual.
