Suzuki Motorcycle India has rolled out the Hayabusa 25th Anniversary Edition, a special version of its iconic motorcycle, priced at Rs 17.70 lakh (ex-showroom). Several distinctive visual improvements are included in this launch, which takes place nine months after the model's global debut.
What’s New in the Hayabusa 25th Anniversary Edition?
The anniversary model sports a striking orange and black dual-tone paint scheme. It features a gold-anodized finish on the drive chain adjuster rotor and the inner part of the front brake disk for a distinctive look. The muffler proudly displays a 25th Anniversary logo, and a new 3D Suzuki emblem adorns the tank. Additionally, this edition comes standard with a single-seat cowling enhancing its sporty aesthetic.
Powertrain Specifications
The Hayabusa 25th Anniversary Edition retains the powerful 1,340cc, in-line four-cylinder, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled DOHC engine from the standard model. It delivers 190hp and 150Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed transmission equipped with a bi-directional quick-shifter. This special edition sees no mechanical changes maintaining the revered performance the Hayabusa is known for.
Pricing and Competition
Priced at Rs 17.70 lakh, the 25th Anniversary Edition is Rs 80,000 more than the standard Hayabusa, which is available for Rs 16.90 lakh. Although the Hayabusa does not face direct competition in its segment in India, it is comparably priced to the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, making it a notable contender for speed enthusiasts seeking a high-performance superbike with a rich legacy.
