According to the recent reports, the TVS Wego 110 has been discontinued from the brand’s portfolio for the Indian market. The scooter will not be available for sales in India though the brand has not pulled the plug on the production of the two-wheeler. The scooter will be manufactured only for exports to the international markets. The brand has decided not to offer the 110cc scooter with a BS6-compliant engine that is now necessary for every new vehicle across India. The scooter was launched back in 2010 while the brand had put on several efforts to make it rise high on the sales charts by offering multiple colour schemes and updating the graphic detailing. Even the addition of the BS4-compliant engine in 2017 didn’t result in moderate sales for the two-wheeler thus leading to the removal from the portfolio ultimately. Article image The heavily-camouflaged version of the TVS Wego 110 was spotted back in 2018 hinting at the launch of a new variant though that never made it to the Indian markets. Powering the TVS Wego 110 is a BS4-compliant, 110cc, single-cylinder engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 7.99 HP at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 8.4 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a CVT gearbox. The two-wheeler has been equipped with a sporty design language while the stunning colour scheme adds to its aesthetics. The brand has equipped the scooter with a digital speedometer while the LED setup has been offered to the taillight unit. The scooter features a 20-litre utility box as well as an external fuel filler. The TVS Wego was available in the markets in two trims namely Standard and Dual Tone. The former was available at a price tag of INR 53,469 while the latter was priced at INR 54,369 and features a maintenance-free battery.
