A person called Balwant Singh complained on Twitter accusing Ola Electric of providing a faulty scooter. It should be mentioned that the person who made the complaint is the father of the accident victim. According to Balwant Singh, the accident occurred as his son was attempting to slow down the scooter at a road bump. Instead of slowing down, the scooter began to accelerate on its own.

On the other hand, after the reporting of this mishap, the EV manufacturer denied any such problem existed. Even so, the electric scooter maker made available the data demonstrating how the scooter was driven at the time of the accident. As per Ola’s statement, \"We did a thorough investigation into the accident, and the data clearly shows that the rider was overspeeding throughout the night and that he braked in a panic, thereby losing control of the vehicle. There is nothing wrong with the vehicle.\"

Along with the announcement, Ola Electric published a data graph that revealed rapid bursts of speed around the time of the accident. The graph depicts the scooter's speed data from 30 minutes before the accident to the moment of the accident. As claimed by Ola Electric, they discovered that the rider was continually riding in hyper mode, touching the scooter's top speed of 115 km/hr at least a number of times in the final half-hour prior to the crash.

Ola further stated that the final recorded data shows panic braking, resulting in the scooter significantly decelerating from 80 km/hr and landing on the right side and that there is no evidence of abrupt acceleration, as alleged by the victim. However, this explanation may put an end to all of the problems surrounding the S1 Pro. Many people expressed worry about EV makers being able to track their driving habits and locations.
