In terms of appearance, this scooter is absolutely different from the current type of two-wheeler from Yamaha. The EMF e-scooter has a futuristic appearance and feel, as well as powerful, aggressive styling. There are three colour options available: dark black, dark green, and light blue. Moving to the offered key features, it has dual LED headlamps, trendy rearview mirrors, a flat front apron with a chiselled profile, a digital instrument cluster, a single-piece seat and afterburner-styled dual LED taillights.

In addition, the scooter has several unique features, including small storage space in the centre of the floorboard. This can be used for a variety of accessories, such as cups, bottles, and so on. An NFC card can be used to turn on and off the scooter instead of a key. There are a variety of connectivity features available, which can be accessed via the Yamaha app. Last parking location, turn-by-turn navigation, and a fleet management system are some of the key connectivity features.

The Yamaha EMF electric scooter is powered by a mid-mounted motor that produces 10.30 ps of max power at 3,000rpm and 26 Nm of peak torque at 2,500 rpm. It can accelerate from 0 to 50 kilometres per hour in 3.5 seconds. Yamaha has not revealed the scooter's top speed, but it is expected to be around 100 kmph.

In Taiwan, range will not be an issue because the scooter will rely on Gogoro's extensive battery-swapping network. Yamaha EMF electric scooter starts at NT$ 102,800 (Rs 2.62 lakhs, direct conversion) in Taiwan and it’s not sure at the moment whether Yamaha will bring it to our shores or not.

Taking into consideration the bumper demand for electric scooters in the market, Yamaha has recently taken the wraps off its second e-scooter, the Yamaha EMF, for the Taiwanese market. This electric scooter is built in collaboration with Gogoro, a Taiwanese company, and is getting the most up-to-date features along with swappable battery technology.
