Royal Enfield recently presented its Euro-4 compliant series of motorcycles in UK. The lineup includes Continental GT ABS, Classic 500 ABS, Bullet 500 ABS and Himalayan ABS. The motorcycles are shockingly fully loaded and carry a rear disc brake in both Bullet and Classic models. The Himalayan and Bullet 500 are even loaded with fuel injection. These highly equipped models are said to be more efficient in terms of emissions and safety. The bikes feature a new catalytic converter in order to comply with the new emission norms. As of now, Royal Enfield has not revealed the power and torque figures for the 2017 Euro4 compliant models, the specs are expected to be more or less same.

Royal Enfield Bullet 500 ABS & Classic 500 ABS Officially Unveiled

The same models are said to get an update in India in the coming months. 2017 Royal Enfield motorcycles saw a marginal increase in prices for the UK while the same would be applicable on the Indian versions also. Addition of rear disc brake would help these heavy bikes cut on speed with much ease while ABS would help the riders stay safe in uneven driving conditions. Prices for the 2017 models sold in UK are listed below:
  • Bullet 500 ABS - £3,999
  • Classic 500 ABS - £4,899
  • Continental GT ABS - £5,199
  • Himalayan ABS - £9,999

The prices are listed on Royal Enfield dealer CooperB. Every value feels good but the price of the Himalayan seems unjustified for the UK market. The website even shows the models on sale right now while the Indian launch is expected to happen around March 2017. The motorcycles have really powerful engines while their heavy weight makes them less of a performer and more into the easy riding segment.
