Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 Fully Revealed Ahead of Official Launch

The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is expected to be unveiled tomorrow (November 8) at 4:00 PM at the EICMA 2022 motorcycle show in Milan, Italy. Ahead of the official unveiling, the bike has been recently spotted testing once more. With just a few hours left in the official event, this latest test mule appears to be as close to production-ready as possible.

Most previous Super Meteor test mules have been heavily blacked out and covered up. This latest sighting shows a motorcycle with many silver-finished alloy components and a number of chrome touches throughout.

The silver alloy finish extends to the headlight rim, triple clamps, headlight bracket, handlebar risers, and hand levers. This test mule has a rather unusual and eye-catching horseshoe-style mount for the front mudguard.

The switch clusters appear to be finished in silver as well, which is unusual. The switches, as well as the non-adjustable hand levers and front brake master cylinder, appear to be identical to those found on the smaller Meteor 350. The chrome accents are limited to the round rearview mirrors, exhaust system, and throttle body covers.

Another significant confirmation from these images is that the Super Meteor 650 will be equipped with CEAT Zoom Cruz tyres. At the front, the rubber will be wrapped around alloy wheels and will have a 100-section measurement. The front tyre size is obscured, and it's difficult to tell whether it's 18-inch or 19-inch. Because the Zoom Cruz isn't available in a 19-inch size, an 18-inch screen appears to be the more likely candidate. The Meteor 350 has a 19-inch front wheel, and it's possible that RE has created a 19-inch Zoom Cruz tyre specifically for the Super Meteor 650.

The bike appears to have RE's Tripper navigation pod. The Super Meteor will almost certainly be the first 650cc model to include the unit as an optional accessory. The bike will come standard with an upside-down front fork (an RE first) and dual-channel ABS. The headlight will most likely be an LED unit, and the accessories list will include items such as touring seats and mirrors.

Black material has been wrapped around the mudguards and side panels. This indicates that the bike is nearly ready for production. Perhaps RE is attempting to conceal the colour schemes before the official unveiling tomorrow at the EICMA 2022 show.
