Ola launches S1 X 4kWh Variant at Rs. 1.10 Lakhs

Ola introduced a new version of its affordable scooter, the S1 X, with a larger 4kWh battery pack. They claim it can travel up to 190km on a single charge, which is only 5km less than the 195km range of the S1 Pro Gen 2.

The prices for the S1 now start at Rs. 79,999 for the 2kWh variant and Rs. 89,999 for the 3kWh variant. The S1 X 4kWh version is essentially the same as other models in terms of mechanics. Ola plans to set up 10,000 fast-charging stations across India by the next quarter.

The S1 X 4kWh model is very similar to other variants in terms of design, features, and size, except for its weight. It weighs 112kg, which is 4kg heavier than the S1 X with the 3kWh battery. It takes about 6 hours and 30 minutes to fully charge the 4kWh model. The claimed top speed is also the same as the S1 Air and other S1 X variants, which is 90kph.

In addition to this launch, Ola's founder and MD, Bhavish Aggarwal, announced plans to establish 600 service centers by April. They also aim to expand the charging network to 10,000 fast-charging points by the next quarter, a significant increase from the current 1,000 stations.
