2. Larger 10-inch Infotainment System with Connected Car Technology

While the current Kwid in India features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, the international version of the new model is equipped with a larger 10-inch unit. This advanced system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with connected car technology for a more integrated driving experience.

3. Partial ADAS Suite

One of the most substantial updates in the new Kwid is the inclusion of a partial ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) suite to comply with the UK's safety standards. Features including autonomous forward emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, and lane-keeping assistance are included in this suite. Since it could raise the vehicle's total cost, it is unclear if this option will be offered in the Indian market.

4. Automatic Headlights

The next-gen Kwid introduces automatic headlights, a small but convenient feature. The headlights automatically activate when the sensor detects low ambient light conditions, enhancing visibility and safety during dusk or in poorly lit areas.

5. Type-C USB Chargers

Keeping up with modern technology, the new Dacia Spring EV (next-gen Kwid) is equipped with Type-C USB chargers, offering faster-charging capabilities compared to the standard USB chargers found in the current India-spec model.

Future Expectations

The next-generation Renault Kwid is expected to debut in India in 2025, initially as an internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle, followed by the all-electric version. Upon its launch, it will compete with popular models like the Maruti Suzuki Alto and S-Presso.
