Mahindra Thar is one unique four wheeled marvel that fulfills the adventure needs of all buyers with budget under INR 10 lakh. Not every Thar remains in stock condition as buyers love customizing its exterior for a perfect attitude filled Jeep experience.
This typical example on Red Band Racing’s Facebook page will not just satisfy your eyes but will also blow the driver’s mind with its mouth watering 160 HP of total output! Torque on the car remains the same 247 Nm while additional features includes better blow off valve and extremely capable off-road components.
Engine on this Thar remains the same 2498cc, CRDe unit that is good for 105 HP in stock condition. Modifiers have used Bilstein off-road suspension, Maxxis Trepador tyres, 16 inch off-road wheels, 4-point bucket seats, off-road snorkel, roll cage and a perfectly finished hard top. The fenders are raised while Blue and Black rules the exterior panels for added exclusivity.
This typical Mahindra Thar comes with projector headlights, high placed LED lights and bull bar. The elevated off-roader can now cross rivers with ease while its rock climbing ability has even improved with more traction and power on tap. Thar weighs 1750 kg in stock condition while this one would weigh much more due to additional safety additions and huge tyres.
Mahindra offers Thar for INR 8.71 lakh for the powerful 2.5L engine while less powerful options are even on offer from INR 5.21 lakh. Those version lack the 4x4 ability and even comes with older DI engine used on Bolero’s previous year model.
Mahindra Thar claims 16.55 kmpl of mileage in stock condition while this one may not even cross 10 kmpl in real world driving conditions. Still, it is the most powerful Thar available in India and may not get a real world rival till Force Motors infuse steroid into their Gurkha.
