Mahindra has re-introduced the Scorpio Adventure Edition in India. The 2WD variant for the same costs INR 13.10 lakh while the four wheel drive could be had in INR 14.20 lakh. The previous version was limited to 1000 units while the 2017 variant has undisclosed number of units on offer. The new pricing makes the Adventure variant costlier by INR 40,000 from the regular model. Scorpio Adventure Edition can be had in just White/Silver dual tone shade.
Mahindra offers gun metal finished alloy wheels, body decals and silver body cladding on the limited edition variant. The changes on the interior includes fax-leather upholstery with blue inserts. Added equipment on the Scorpio Adventure includes reverse parking camera and turn indicators on ORVM's. This makes the Scorpio an even better option over the rival Tata Safari in India. Other rivals on the list includes Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano.
Scorpio Adventure Edition is powered by 2.2 liter, turbocharged diesel engine producing 120 BHP at 4000 rpm and 280 Nm at 1800-2800 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Scorpio measures 4456 mm in length, 1820 mm in width and 1995 mm in height. It carries a wheelbase of 2680 mm and carries two jump-seats in the third row. The seats are only comfortable for kids while there is enough space for 5 adults in the first two rows.
