Lamborghini Aventador S was recently launched in India for INR 5.01 Crore (ex-showroom). It undoubtedly serves as the flagship production model and carries the most powerful variant of the 6.5 liter, V12 engine. The output now peaks at 740 HP and 690 Nm for the Aventador S. This makes it 41 HP more powerful than the standard version. The engine now even revs to 8500 rpm while the standard version supports 8350 rpm redline.

Aventador S takes just 2.9 seconds for 0-100 kmph while its top speed is rated at 349 kmph. It comes mated to a seven speed dual clutch automatic gearbox. Lamborghini claims a very high power to weight ratio of 469 HP/ton for their flagship model. This has been achieved through a tweaked VVT and intake system. The car now comes with four wheel steering system for more stable ride at high speeds and slow speed maneuverability. The front bumper of Aventador S is designed in such a way that 130 percent more downforce is generated through its placement. A rear wing that can be moved to three positions also helps in raising the downforce by 50 percent. Lamborghini brings ESC, all wheel drive system and TFT touchscreen for infotainment system. They have even added Ego driving mode that helps in custom tuning of drive-train settings on the new car.
