Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX No Longer Listed on Indian Website

Kawasaki India has removed the Ninja 1000SX from its official website, indicating that the model is no longer available. We contacted the company to confirm this, and they have indeed stated that the Ninja 1000SX is currently not being sold in India. While the reason for this decision has not been officially disclosed, sources suggest that a new version of the Ninja 1000SX may be in development and could be launched by the end of 2024.

After testing the Ninja 1000SX, we concluded that it was among the best sports tourers available for the money. Its standout feature is its inline-four engine which delivers 142bhp and 111Nm of peak torque. Its inline-four engine's nice sound, good response, and smooth performance all impressed us.

The chassis of the Ninja 1000SX provided confidence-inspiring handling around corners and stability on various road surfaces even at high speeds. It offers different ride modes to adjust power delivery along with traction control and ABS for added safety.

However, the Ninja 1000SX is starting to show its age and could benefit from updated electronics, an E20-compliant engine, and possibly sleeker styling similar to the new Ninja ZX-6R. We anticipate that the 2025 version of the Ninja 1000SX may incorporate these upgrades and more.

For those considering a Japanese sports tourer, if you come across a dealership with the remaining stock of the Ninja 1000SX, now could be a favorable time to negotiate a good deal.
