Jeep Wrangler & Grand Cherokee Launched in India

Jeep has officially launched the Wrangler Unlimited and Grand Cherokee in India with a starting from a price tag of INR 71.59 lakh for the Wrangler Unlimited and INR 93.64 lakh for the Grand Cherokee. The variant wise prices are given below:

• Wrangler Unlimited – INR 71.59 lakh
• Grand Cherokee Limited – INR 93.64 lakh
• Grand Cherokee Summit – INR 1.03 Crore
• Grand Cherokee SRT – INR 1.12 Crore

Jeep Wrangler & Grand Cherokee Launched in India

The pricing sounds too far from the expected values for all the Jeep variants, which retail for $27,695 (Wrangler Unlimited), $39,565 (Limited) and $52,795 (Summit) in the United States of America. The SRT version comes with an international price tag of $65,695.

Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Jeep Wrangler Unlimited comes with a 2.8 L turbo-charged diesel engine producing 200 PS @ 3600 rpm and 460 Nm @ 1600-2000 rpm. It returns a claimed mileage of 12.1 kmpl. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed automatic gearbox and equips 4WD. Other key features of Wrangler Unlimited include heavy duty solid axles, 17 inch Goodyear tyres, 6.5 inch touchscreen infotainment with navigation, heated seats, tyre pressure monitoring system and automatic climate control. Jeep Grand Cherokee

The Grand Cherokee is powered by 3.0 L V6 diesel engine producing 243 PS @ 3600 rpm and 570 Nm @ 2000 rpm. It comes mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox with full time 4WD option on both the variants. It returns a claimed mileage of 12.8 kmpl. The Summit variant also comes with a limited slip differential.

Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT

SRT variant on the Grand Cherokee is the most powerful offering from the company, bringing its huge 6.4 L, Hemi V8 petrol engine producing 475 Bhp @ 6000 rpm and 637 Nm @ 4300 rpm of torque.
